How ill is Sancho? Then again Ten Hag has a habit of giving these injury news/updates as if they are minor ones but players always end up being out far longer than he makes them sound.

We play the kids, get thumped, ETH needs to go!!
Ha, yeah. How about one or two though?

I don’t know if he’s fit but don’t we need to see Iqbal in the Eriksen role?

Part of the problem is we just lost to Villa so probably the result has gained some extra significance.

Lindelof, Maguire and McFred. Never thought this awesome foursome would grace our tv screens again!

Likely starting at the weekend as Dalot is suspended
He's not even on the bench. AWB hasn't played at all this season. He needed minutes tonight if we were going to ask him to start on Sunday. I'm willing to bet we play Lindelof against Fulham at RB.

He's only played 4 minutes this season, I think if he was going to feature on Sunday he'd get some minutes tonight but he's not even on the bench.

Imagine we'll see Lindelof or Malacia at RB on Sunday now.

So Bruno off the right..? Sorry. Donny's just not worth the adjustment. Why marginalise our best player to get more out of someone who's arguably never had a great game for United.

Malacia RB is a good shout. Or we go back to McT at RWB :wenger:

Yeah it should be Donny on the right since he likes to run down blind alleys anyway.

Martial starts, let's hope he can stay fit. Hope he can put himself about tonight.

DVB , realy do hope he gets a better game tonight the guys on his last chance imo so many players got there chance in this comp going back years and only a few grabbed it with both hands , DVB needs a performance. Maguire needs one as well. I only got 7 out of 11 realy thought ETH would have made a few more.

Antony , Sancho were muted as being nearly ready but they can't be!. Antony I hope is fit for Sunday.

Weird him now even making the bench tonight alright. I wonder is this ETH's way of telling him to feck off....if you're a £50mill signing who can't make the bench during a League cup game it's time to go....

    Is Iqbal on the bench.

Ten Hag desperately wants Donny to succeed here.

I still don't think Donny is shit, he's basically struggled to get any first team football or consistency in years.

He went to a coach that didn't coach and basically was a reserve player.

Is it too much to just have a game where we dont have to watch Ronaldo up front, Maguire in defence or McFred in midfield.

Kinda funny that we are at home to a weaker Villa Team and EtH picks a more defensive team with more “fighters” than in last game where we badly needed it. At least it’s a good team this time. Much more balanced and we might actually press from the front with no Ronaldo.

Lots of midfielders, so we should also be able to dominate the midfield.

Looking forward to seeing Rashford and Martial together, but fearful of Ronaldo starting regardless at the weekend as not in squad (and presumably rested).

Yes i agree we should, but not if it jepordize our chances in the other (more important) competitions imo.
When Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal went out last night, none of their odds were boosted for top four or winning another comp at the bookmakers.

In other words if we lose tonight, you should be more worried about what they means for our level as a football team than you should be worried about our schedule if we win.
