Villa have made one change in their 3 Christmas fixtures and it was only that red card that was the reason. Despite their extra days rest they may be suffering from fatigue. Our squad depth should count for something.

Villa has also been in form over the last 5 games. But yeah, we should be beating these lot, but football does what it wants.
Just hope we put in a proper shift and take our chances.

Hopefully it's not some loopsided and narrow formation though. I'd want it to be more of a 433 with Bruno in the false 9 and Martial/Rashford on the channels, which means Pogba pulling the strings in midfield!Couple of posters saying Pogba will be wide left but I can’t see that happening.
Looking at the personnel it may pan out as 4-3-1-2 unless Fred or McT are asked to sit at the base of a diamond but if that’s the shape surely Matic was the choice.

Villa have performed well this season and I can see Grealish causing havoc for our defence once again. Puts us in a great position if we can take three points here and go joint top (effectively) with a game in hand over Pool.

Whether United go with a diamond or not, their right wing issue has been acknowledged again by Solskjaer in overlooking James and Greenwood. Neither merited a start after their previous performances and Greenwood is letting critical stages of his development pass him by; he has not looked anywhere near as dynamic as he did last season but, with no credible competitor on the right-hand side, is still comfortable.
