    If we lose another semi, that would confirm what we already know in that this coaching and management team is not good enough to win us titles.
     
    Its poor in an attacking sense all half bar the goal.

    We lack creativity, Rashford thinks he is Maradona, and Bruno is so wasteful.

    We so desperately need a ball carrier, someone to commit defenders... Crying out for a Grealish or Sancho..even better both

    True, but when the errors come from selecting dross like Fred the blame does end up on him. But then, what choice does he have? We desperately need to upgrade our midfield options.
     
    Plenty of football left to be played but yeah, disheartening viewing so far. Sloppy in the middle of the path and rashford looks well off the pace. Cavani should have had at least one already too. I still think if we come out of this with a draw we'll do them away. Hope springs eternal etc...
     
    Just to remind you guys calling for subs, Ole seems to think you're not allowed to make them till after 70 mins so we have a while to wait yet.

    I don't know how any Utd fan can watch the likes of Bayern and Madrid and be happy with a midfield pairing of McFred. Honestly standards are in the pits of hell.

    The problem is as always we have a lot of defensive players who really dont seem to know what they are doing and who they are picking up. Two CDMs who dont shut things down today. It is like one is expecting the other to do the work. Get one of them off..

    I didn't want to be too harsh on him, but yeah those moments are why Pogba can't be trusted in any defensive situation. It's a shame as he helped set up such a great goal.

    The first goal gave Roma confidence. The second goal took away ours. Hope the break restores our spirit.

    What doesn't make sense is that's the conclusion you drew after getting wrong the names of well established players. It's really not difficult.
     
    No subs. He might bring Van De Beek on in the 88th minute to give him a chance to make his mark.

    Def not saying they are the answer but we have no shape, no pattern of play etc. Our front players haven't created enough and we had a lots of the ball....

    McTominay is a trier but United as a club should have someone better. We used to be the benchmark. Until we start trying to live up to that there will be many more nights like this..

    I mean we literally celebrate how we produce and train players. McTominay is young enough to still be developed further.

    I agree Fred was a poor buy who we’ve salvaged some value from.

    But considering we only have the players we have until the summer I’m suggesting you make the best of a bad bunch. We should have been playing Fred or McTominay holding all season with dual attacking midfielders in Bruno and Pogba/Van De Beek. If Mcfred didn’t develop during the season you go and buy Rice or Ndidi or whoever in the summer.
     
    I just knew that bloody Dzeko would have a say in this tie, looking like only Chelsea & City could be the English teams progressing to a European Final
