Walcott is completely anonymous. Fully expect him to get an undeserved goal in the second half (if he isn't subbed)

Didn't feel confident at 2-0 and certainly not at 2-1. I'd still happily take a draw from this. Lets hope we can hit them on the break if they don't score till around the 80th. Nervy half ahead!

Pretty happy with what I have watched in the first half considering all the factors involved. 2 CDM's playing as CB's, a RB coming back from injury, a LB who is very inexperienced. Playing with an Academy player up front. Some of our play has been very good when those things are in consideration. I thought we were going to get pumped.

We're well worth our lead IMO. Playing exactly how the occasion demands us to. Just a shame that we let in one thanks to trash defending

Schneiderlin really is shite, I thought he was going to be a great signing, the best of the window, I was very wrong.
He'll come good, he was great at Soton so can't have suddenly gone shite. He's one that has taken longer to learn what it's like to play for Utd

I dont know how people dont seem to notice Schneiderlin. It is because as a team we are defending very well thus far. Given that they havent scored from open play or even have a good attempt from open play surely it is indicative that he is in fact doing his job well?

The last 15 minutes were scary. I'm not sure why we stopped doing what we were doing until then.

Schneiderlin is awful. Rashford deserves every praise and then some.

Better than I hoped for is an understatement. Great effort.

So great to see Rashford do that. Memphis looks more confident. Herrera looks much better.

Need to stop giving shit fouls away.

I don't know what people watch really. Schneiderlin was poor for the goal but he's been excellent in front of the back four today. We've limited them to 2 or 3 real chances and he takes great credit for that.

Herrera was class for that ten minutes spell where stamped his authority all over the game. If he could do that for longer spells during games, he'd be the best midfielder in the league.

Delighted for Rashford. He looks to the manor born at this level. I'm shocked at how physically strong he is - looks more developed than Memphis or even Martial in terms of his physique.

We have played well but we need to keep on pressing them. We play very well when Herrera and Mata are dictating play together, this must continue.

We're well worth our lead IMO. Playing exactly how the occasion demands us to. Just a shame that we let in one thanks to trash defending
TBH we should be one down as Monreal should have scored from the best chance of the half. So I'll take a 2-1 at HT

Don't worry lads. Rashford will get a hat trick and put our minds at ease.

Have a feeling we won't finish with 11. Our defending has been a bit desperate at times. Still, we've given ourselves a great chance here!

Good score line, but I'm struggling to see how we don't concede further right now. We have been very poor defensively, and even going forward beyond the two goals we have been bad. What I am liking from us this game, is that we have been able to get the ball to players between the arsenal midfield and defense. If we can keep doing that, and start making more of the ball after that we might cause them more problems.

Either way i can see a rather nervy second half. Fingers crossed we can hold on.

We all thought we would get battered so we cant complain about a 1 goal lead at half time.

Have done really well all things considered, we look desperate at the back but in the circumstances that isn't really a suprise.

I think we will have to score again to get at least a point, I can't see Arsenal, not getting at least one more.

Enthusiasm can do wonders sometimes. But not for too long. Hopefully something has changed and the team will continue to play like that.

Shame they got one back to put a damper on things but you can't ask much more than what we got from the team in the first half, we've competed excellently.

    Yes indeed.

With Carrick and Blinds' lack of pace against Arsenals electric front line, I genuinely expected a spanking, but our lads have run their socks off so far and are deservedly ahead.

Not sure what to expect second half. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Arse turn the game on its head though, would you?

Agree with those who say we need at least one more; letting in the goal makes me sure they will get another. Poor defending and I though DDG was a bit slow getting down. You do have to ask why we don't always play with this width and once wide get the ball in very early. Most of the season we've dilly-dallied and passed the ball backwards five times before crossing. Even the best defences have trouble if you cross quickly. Varella brilliant for the second goal, keeping the move going. Herrera good for the first. But Mata has been very quiet again

Need more goals here. Don't see that back line keeping Arsenal out, particularly once they get Giroud on in place on Wacott.
