It's a net negative though.
Half the space was created by himself, so credit there but the other half was because others play to him unselfishly. You can call it even there. However, his final pass, shot or cross was horrendous. Therefore, he stop many opportunities to create something or keep the ball moving.
Hojlund was bad but nobody in the team can expect to know when to run near, central or far post.
Still, the criticism is mostly on the manager for me. These are kids in their first full season.

Garnacho alone ignored Højlund 5 or 6 times instead of trying to play him in.
They aren't a title winning side though. They've scraped past the worst United team in my 49 year lifetime and they still won't win the league. Have you not been paying attention to our mis-management? Garnacho being on pitch despite being spent, is going to affect his end product, and the way he's being rinsed as an outlet ball, he's just going to look progressively worse the longer he plays past the point of exhaustion.
He's also a non-prodigious teenager, which means he's learning on the job and is bound to make mistakes and be inconsistent even when not fatigued and exhausted.
Bottom line is we shouldn't be using him as an outlet ball all game long when he's clearly knackered, especially so when he's rarely supported, rendering the majority of his runs redundant because he is then mauled due to having nobody in proximity to pass to in time.Liked said rain and thunder

Hojlund needs to improve considerably over the summer. Learn to run in the right areas, anticipation, use of his stature, hold the ball up and not casually stroll back. Maybe he's not getting the best service but his runs are wrong and he still looks like Bambi on Ice. Wheatley looks a better player at the moment in the U-18s.

Garnacho is obviously knackered, Casemiro and co have gone up for the last attack, you are Christian Eriksen, you have the ball with no pressure and rather than take responsibility and put the ball in, you pass it to a teenager who is not known for his crossing.

The most likely scenario is that Arsenal will end up 2 points off of City (from the 114 points available across 38 games) with them clinching the title on the very last day of the season. Of course you’re free to call that “miles off” if that floats your boat, but it kind of makes it a meaningless term.

My point is Mainoo is good but not half as good as some will have you believe on here. Some still cant see the lad has no pace and pretend he does.
