How good is Arsenal really? Does their record flatter to deceive or not?

They've genuinely looked good, a very young team with great work-rate and they've been outplaying most of the teams. Martinelli is the one to watch out for, he's relentless and going to be a handful for Dalot. If we want to get something, we're going to need to outwork them like we did Liverpool.

    Tomorrow is colossal.

A win, will lead me to an irrational period of sniffing a title challenge.

Not a game for Ronaldo I feel, we're really going to need to outwork them and win the midfield battle. Would go for both McTominay and Casemiro. Maybe Bruno outwide to start with and bring on Antony from the bench.

The scenes if we win tomorrow, Arse fans will go totally crazy. Looking over at their forum many believe they should be thrashing us.

    DDG

    Maguire Varane Martinez

    McTominay Casemiro Eriksen

    Antony Bruno Sancho

    Ronaldo

If Anthony not playing then move Sancho to right wing and Rashford to left wing.

I'd take a point, but manner of draw would depend.

If we're winning and concede a last minute equaliser, it'll feel like a loss.

Can't play too defensive. Need a balanced team. If Antony can start then we should play 4-2-2-2. With at times either Bruno or Eriksen playing false 9.

I’d love Antony to start but can’t see it.

    McT - Casemiro
    Bruno - Erikson
    Rashford - Sancho

Ronaldo, Antony, Fred to come on... 2-1 United.

Stay away from managing football please

Antony won’t be able to play 90 mins(?)

So it’s better to keep him on the bench and give him the last 30 mins.

Bloody exciting match (especially after todays results)

Looked at Arsenal Mania a couple of times and they don't seem confident, I know they have injuries but could be a bit of reverse psychology going on there though, as there could with me writing this!

Looking forward to the game, almost a bit of a throw back to the early-mid 2000's when these games had an edge and really meant something.

    I'd go

    The same back 5.
    Casemiro McTominay
    Eriksen
    Bruno Rashford Sancho

Antony, Ronaldo and Fred to come on.

    I'm nervous.

Sent loads of incredibly obnoxious emails to several Arsenal fans and also cc'd many other people right before logging off from work on Friday.

    Losing is not an option.

Just play quality Oleball if Arsenal plays to their strengths. With current back 4 and Casemiro in front, I imagine it is not that hard to do.

If Arteta tries to be smart and counter, just destroy them. Arsenal never could play counterattacking football.

What is the injury situation at Arsenal?
[Aaron and Martin ] are being assessed, we will see more tomorrow. Hopefully they will be able to train with the team.

"Unfortunately with Alex that’s still not the case, he missed two games and has not been able to train with the team yet.

[With Zinchenko] after missing two games and not being able to be ready yet to train with the team, unfortunately, that is the situation that we have.

"Thomas [Partey] got injured in the same place as last time and then Mo [Elneny] has a long-term injury.

"With Mo, and we are talking months. With Thomas, hopefully we are talking [about] weeks, or even shorter than that I hope."

We need a win; it's not the end of the world if we draw. If we win, we're in the title challenge.

That’s like a Merson comment after 6 games. Win and top 4 looks a more realistic goal. Striker options will cost us this season. Lose and it’s one step fwd 2 back. Home to Arsenal. They have injuries. We should win.

So we're either going to play with no full backs, or play 2 players that have never, and should never play that position according to this? I dunno which one is more bat shit crazy but well done either way.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    Eriksen Casemiro
    Bruno
    Antony Sancho
    Rashford

Antony will start, and will be MotM.

For me, this is a ‘must not lose game’.

A draw would put us level on points with Chelsea, us at 6 them at 5. That would still be so good compared to how we started off.

But boy oh boy wouldn’t a win be fecking tasty lads…

City dropping points earlier and everyone looking kind of shaky (Chelsea for example). This is the perfect time to stake a serious claim to top 4. Imagine if we can string together out 4th win on the trot and third clean sheet. When did we last manage such a thing?

Old Trafford needs to be the X factor tomorrow. Against Liverpool when I was there a week or two ago it was absolutely bouncing. I think the pre game protest helped a lot and hopefully will again tomorrow. Channel that hatred into aggressive support and hopefully an aggressive performance to match.

I think the main thing is staying tight and dominant at the start. Can’t afford to concede first. I’d rather see us play for caution and dominance and then try grab a goal a bit later on once we’ve worn them down somewhat.

Really excited for this one even though Covid means I’ll be watching from home as I had to sell my ticket.

will still be getting on it though and screaming at the TV.

    Lets fecking go united!

    Big game, can’t wait.

I fancy our chances to be honest, I can see it being a game where Ronaldo makes the difference.

From an Arsenal perspective - I am not too confident here solely because of the injuries. We are the better drilled team but without Partey & Zinchencko and potentially Odegaard, Ramsdale and Ben White - it just isn't the same thing. A draw is a great result for Arsenal but I just put my money on 2-1 to United.

A United win will also pull Arsenal back closer points wise to the chasing pack - reverting to the mean after a string of easier opponents at the start and pushing United closer to Top 4.

It's going to be a cracker - could potentially be a turning point for both teams.

A win is a must. 3 wins on the bounce, at OT, against Arsenal. I don't understand why we should expect anything less.

We'll win this no problem if the crowd get behind the team like the Liverpool game. The atmosphere was unbelievable that night.

These 3 have all travelled apparently
