    Seriously though when will people admit that Rashford is completely shite. Greenwood is levels above him in his general play.
     
    I know what Shearer is saying but he’s clearly taken out. Being up a minute later doesn’t mean much, he wasn’t killed

    Agreed.
    People made excuses that he was injured for a long time, but his injury seems to be permanent, now.
     
    Get any one out of VDB Lingard or Greenwood on for Rashford and we win this game.
     
    If rashford appears for second half, with all the options we have, Carrick doesn't have what it takes to be a manager
     
    Two awful teams :lol: not beating this Arsenal for years is an achievement.

    Lots of people after Rashford but he's always ineffective on right side. He and Sancho should switch sides in 2nd half.

    Completely agree with Shearer, De Gea should've stayed on his feet but it's not a surprise the timid one went down.
     
    I see we still haven’t done any serious training this week, dreery me, we are such a poor team. How we cant work on simple combinations is beyond me.

    McT and Rash have been pretty useless this half and need to be taken off for ones who can at least put some effort in.

    DDG blatantly staying down for a foul thinking an Arsenal player stood on him, he needs to be looking where the ball is there if you don’t know for sure you’ll get the foul.

    Need a lot more energy and composure in the 2nd half.
     
    Can we just take a moment to appreciate the staggering amount of pressing we did in that half relative to the the amount we usually do in a game?

    If we had better and more courageous midfielders we could have turned those turnovers into chances.
     
    I blame DDG mostly for that goal. Just get back up for fecks sake.

    Yes, he did what any keeper would do in that situation, feel strong contact and go down. Old man Atkinson's reaction time is shit.

    He has always said that he didn't do the actual coaching. His problem was he got this coaching staff. I can't see Woody insisting on the coaches if Ole told him he has no faith in them.
     
    Unpopular opinion - don't think we need to start Ronaldo in every game. By all means sub him on for PL, maybe start a select few, but keep him nice and motivated for CL games and other cup games. Not blaming him for anything, just think it might be something to think about going forward..

    apart from those few corners at the first 2 mins and the freak goal, they've hardly had the ball in our half.

    I think we've dominated and the goal was coming.
     
    The shot was so weak and not in the corner even if De Gea was limping or down on one knee he'd probably have been able to get behind it

    If blame has to be given then yeah but I can't think of another goal given while a keeper lay "injured". Refs always blow, think it's just unlucky really.
     
    We're playing with 10 with Rashford.

    Move Sancho right since he's pretty much in Tomiyasu's pocket on the left, and put Lingard/Greenwood/Heck even Martial on for Rashford.

    That was a PL playoff game as well, against villa I think
     
    I know everyone wants our team to press but for me the most important aspect of the team that needs improving is passing. We are shockingly poor at doing this and there is no point winning possession only to hand it back!
     
    Rashford should be off for Martial or Greenwood.

    This rewarding of place on name basis should go.
     
    I don't even think their goal is controversial at all, DDG is hoping for the whistle and is clearly fine when you see him afterwards. I have no doubt it hurt but you can't just go foetal after everything.

    I keep saying it but Fred anywhere near DM = woeful, Fred as a more advanced CM = gold dust. McT is just average.

    Why are we playing Sancho on the left and Rashford on the right ?
     
    We have been mediocre against another mediocre team. We got one chance to score and thankfully we did. Fred should be subbed he has been dreadful, even though he assisted the goal. Rashford should be subbed. Why is Sancho playing on the left again? Maguire should have given a pen away pulling the player down in the box. Ronaldo is trying to score from impossible positions. Maybe he should be the 3rd sub if he doesnt improve.

    When is the last time Rashford played a full 'great' game? He scores here and there but his effort levels, despite being hurt last year, are unacceptable, especially for a player making the money he is and him being a Manchester born kid. He only runs if he feels like it. He expects to beat players from a stand still even though he's never successfully done that. If its a confidence thing, get over it. You're paid to play, not spend months getting out of your funk that you won't even try to get through with full effort.

    The new coaching staff needs to have zero previous relationship with this roster. Players that deserve to play should play.
     
    What goes through Maguire's fathead sometimes? How are you going to foul a player in the box and stay held on to him as he falls so it looks double obvious
     
    Bailly must me mad as hell, after having a terrific game against Chelsea to be benched for Maguire who's been nothing short of total shit.

    We are lucky the ref didn't call that penalty of Maguire on Tomisayu, I seriously don't understand what it takes for Maguire to be benched. He seems determined to sabotage us.
     
    FFS the Arsenal was properly allowed. Had De Gea suffered a suspected head injury from his own player then play has to stop. Had an Arsenal player stamped De Gea then the goal is properly disallowed. End of.
     
    Rashford was awful in the first half against Chelsea. He came alive and looked really dangerous in the second, we need some of that from him today.

    As another poster said, and I agree, I think he’s been put on the right to help Dalot. Time to take the handbrake off in the second and put him and Sancho in their correct positions.
