They play the 3-5-2 the same as Leipzig so I would think it makes sense to stay with the diamond with McTominay in for Matic and Rashford in for Martial.

How? Fred and Mctominay suits a counter attacking style because they are combative midfielder whose job is to protect the back four and win possession of the ball. They do make our press game more effective, but they aren’t gifted in keeping hold of the possession either or are comfortable while being pressed.
With those two we lack creativity to unlock defense, but we are more solid in defense and in the midfield. As such, the contain approach shown by lampard recently and Mourinho before nullifies that gameplan.

I think they'll be wary of us, think our forwards can destroy their CBs. Midfield we should be able to nullify too. Think we're the better team, just need to do the job and get the points.

I'd consider resting Maguire. He had to work relentlessly against Leipzig to keep Poulsen and co quiet, and looked absolutely knackered by the final whistle. Pace will be important against Aubameyang. Could Lindelof and Tuanzebe play as a partnership?

I smell Martial goals in this one. He was constantly on the verge of breaking through against Leipzig despite feeding on scraps for three quarters of the game, and he'll be hungry after watching Rashford's hat trick.

I think arsenal will set up 343 as that’s what they usually go when playing against top opposition and that’s probably where we need to go 442 diamond again. To me 442 cancel out 343. 4 defense against 3 attackers & 4 v 4 in the middle of the pitch and 2 strikers v 3 centre back. Which will be a same line up except Rash for Martial (suspended), Scott for Matic, Bruno for Donny. Personally prefer Axel for Lindelof but wouldn’t mind even if we stick with Lindelof since he’s done well recently.

I would like to see the formation we used against RBL in this match as well, with one of Bruno/VDB starting out wide and drifting in, with Matic and either Fred or McT behind Pogba. It's an interesting set up, and while it does deny us one of our star attackers, be it Rashford or Martial, I feel like overall the team would be more creative as well as stable in this setup.
