I get that people are confident given our recent results, but I can't imagine this will be an easy game. Arsenal are a completely different team under Arteta. The type of teams that we struggle against. I can imagine they'll sit back and try and hit us on the counter. Whatever happens, I hope we get the first goal, as they have proven to be quite a hard team to break down.

I have absolutely no idea how this game will go. Which of the respective sides will turn up? That aside, I would love to win this one. Been a while and it would make AFTV essental viewing.

Arsenal's fresh legs will make all the difference.

We had an intense CL game mid-week with the full first team, they got to rest everyone for a nothing EL match.

    European hangover performance incoming.
    Rashford played 30 min
    McTominay 30 min
    Bruno 20 min
    Greenwood 60 min
    Pogba 80 min

Only Fred and the back 4 played whole game.

I think Ole will persevere with the 4-4-2 diamond today.

The team I'd like to see:

    DDG

    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw

    Fred

    Bruno --------- Pogba

    Mata

    Rashford Greenwood

This team can beat the best in Europe on it's day, it can also lose to 6-1 to Spurs.

But yeah, it'll end 4-0 to United.

It won't be an easy game, but we should be beating this team. Because I simply believe we're better. I'd love to think we'll win comfortably and it could be a relaxing afternoon, but I doubt it very much.

It definitely was for 75 minutes. Leipzig chased us all over.
I think it was a rather comfortable match especially second half. Stats show we covered 106.1 km which isn’t so much. Leipzig had to run a little more, 106.8 km.

    DeGea
    AWB Lindalof Tuanzebe Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Fred
    Fernandez Pogba
    Rashford

    SUBS: Cavani, DeBeek, Greenwood

We need a strong team for this game. We need to get ahead.

Not confident going into this game. Think it'll be a repeat of last weeks game against Chelsea.

Hmm i would have to say bench, i think off the bench against tired legs would do damage i.e the Leipzig game
You'd bench Rashford in his current form, well rested and noting his very good record against top 6 sides?!

    Fair play I guess

Its nothing personal, i think Cavani is ready to start hes looked sharp so far and Greenwood is Greenwood

Rashford did get a hattrick coming off the bench so its not a horrible idea.

Mark Goldbridge "is hearing" that we're gonna play this midfield/attack:

    McTominay Fred
    Mata Fernandes Rashford
    Greenwood

    :nervous: I hope not, though.

I would go with the diamond again like you say and dominate the midfield, attack them.
He’s wrong all the time. He said Sancho was a done deal.

I like your thinking, but I went the other way: Start Rashford and Cavani and bring on Greenwood for Cavani on 65mins for the extra pace.

Also Cavani is good in the air, so it would be nice to have an ariel presence.

Goldbridge knows jack shit. How many times in the summer did he say the Sancho deal was done

Don't think Cavani will start but I think it would be a good idea. Stretch them about a bit.

I have no idea how this game will end. A must win to have a chance to be Top4. When the game vs Burnley will be played.

Arteta has got a lot of flak on here, mostly because people seem riled up that Ole gets more criticism than him but he's done well steadying that ship and they've easily had one of the hardest starts to the PL. It's hardly a poor job by Arteta that's he's lost in tight games to City, Pool and Leicester. We should win but it will be a slog unless we get a peno early!

Some are so pent up with their feelings regarding Ole, that they get offended when other managers get praised and perceive it as some sort of attack.

I'm quite positive for this one i think we'll do them. I always tend to think we'll smash Arsenal though to be fair.
