Good team. Although I never understand this Lingard-thing. (Voodoo... hope he scores because I said that.)

Back to Zlatan as the lone striker. I hope he's asked to play a little deeper than usual. I'd love to see spaces open up for Rashford and Lingard to come in off the wing/into the box. Their interplay is the best we've had in years.

Their midfield was completely dominated by our Carrick-Pogba pair, but they might have learned a thing or two in the meantime.

Good to see Shaw return. Offensive lineup. Surprised Darmian was excluded from squad completely.
Blind for a defensive option and Young for an offensive one seem enough.

Love the team, Darmian and Herrera rested after their man-marking jobs on Sunday isn't hugely surprising really. Really strong bench as well.

I reckon Herrera's also being rested because he's 1 yellow away from suspension. And he really loves picking up yellows.

I thought someone said booking were wiped after this round?

Herrera might have to get used to the Europa League bench
Ander Herrera is one booking away from suspension in the Europa League, so he might even remain on the bench for the semi-finals if United qualify.

As suspected, a left-sided player (Darmian) misses out on a squad berth, with Shaw at left-back the only change from the first leg line-up.

Suspect United supporters will be pleased to see Lingard and Rashford retained after their weekend performance. It’s a very strong side which should beat Anderlecht with ease.

The flip-side, of course, is Mourinho has maybe been too loyal to the front six who didn’t kill the tie in Brussels.

    Strong team.

If we play as well as we did in the first leg with some added cutting edge, we'll blow these lot away.

If that's true, then it just shows you how much Herrera is rated by Jose.

Rashford on the left, Mkhitaryan as #10 and Lingard on the right? Was hoping to catch Rashford from the right, but with Valencia there...

So only 4% total have us loosing or drawing in the score predictions. A draw isn't that far fetched I would think.

It might sound a bit condescending (though it's not meant to) but if you've had a lengthy stay in a hotel in your life, you'd know. There's a difference between living in your own place and in a hotel. Even a rented flat is much much better than a hotel.
There is also a difference between your hotel room and Mourinhos. Everything he'd get in an apartment would be in his hotel room. He ain't staying in some one room hotel room. It'll be the exact same as an apartment.

Anderlecht are featuring their strongest team, with a few changes from the first game though: Spajić for Nuytinck, Hanni for Stanciu, Chipciu and Teodorczyk for Bruno and Thelin. Looks like a stronger team than previously.

Blind has been out of favor at LB lately, I don't remember seeing him play for a while.

Good news for Shaw. Its a big game tonight, and if Mourinho had no trust in him, he wouldnt be anywhere near the starting 11.

This looks like a very confident lineup from Mourinho. Or he doesn't rate Anderlecht that much, or he's navigating the optimism wave of beating Chelsea. Could turn out to be a tricky game.

    19:01KEY EVENT
Three United players a booking away from suspension
Eric Bailly a major concern here. If he gets booked and United progress, Mourinho has very few options at CB.
