Well, it could have been much worse.

We aren't playing well by any means but City have played into our hands by apparently deciding the game was over after the early goal. They do have one eye on the CL final.

Tbh I don’t think it will. AWB is a very instinctive player and being on a yellow probably won’t influence what he does too much, as he generally doesn’t think too much anyway

Very very good first half. Tactically we look excellent.

We would have looked so much better if we didn't have Eriksen looking like he was running in mud out there. I also feel like Sancho has been really soft in some really key moments that could have gotten us a second.

Happy we got back into the game. City have looked pretty average so far by their standards but I still feel the gulf between the teams is evident

We need to get better at controlling the ball to take the pressure off our defence and start to create chances. Other than the penalty and the Varane chance we haven't really created anything.

We need more strenght in this game. Put in McTominay and Weghorst. Tell them to go hard och though every time. We need to make sure that we are not going to be cheated out of this game.

How do people evaluate Sancho's defensive contribution? I was hoping Garnacho would start. At least going forward he is a lot more direct, which you need against that City side.

Doubt ETH makes a sub at HT, but I'd like to see Garnacho get a chance to have an impact while we're level (or ahead).

Eriksen also looks gassed.

They'll probably win due to greater strength in depth and can step it up, but at least we didn't capitulate after the early goal

Garnacho for Eriksen at half time and move Bruno back to midfield. Eriksen can’t keep up with the pace. It’s a lot more open and end to end than expected.

Give Sancho 15 mins to see if he can improve with Garnacho dragging the defence wide.
