But City barely got out of second gear and laboured to a relatively easy win.
I'm glad it wasn't a landslide, but losing to two Gundogan volleys where he's left wide open is a massive kick in the teeth.At the end DDG looks like he couldn’t care less. No interest in being part of the game. Couple of times where he could have picked up the ball instead of forcing a defender to kick the ball away.

I saw very little effort in getting the ball back.Pleased it wasn't a hammering. They could have scored more, so could we, but you always felt they had another gear and that we were in awe.
This game just highlights, amongst others, we need a ball-playing keeper (the contrast between DDG and Ortega today was stark), a replacement for Eriksen (passenger today, and he didn't pay for his ticket) and a decent striker.
We played a few bits of decent stuff, but sporadic. It felt like we were overawed to be honest, I think we're better than we showed today.Dirty blonde bird in the City fans giving it the call me/blowy sign to the cameras.

Apart from City being way ahead of us in most departments, the weaknesses in our squad are still obvious.
Even with the extra midfield player, we are a weak, soft side.
Fred tries really hard but is far too small and lightweight and easily gets brushed of the ball and ahead of Casemiro, there wasn’t a single player who could win the one-to-ones, press properly and with intent and aggression, or impose themselves on the opposition midfield or defence.
Rashford, Sancho, Bruno and Eriksen are all poor in these areas.
It’ll take more than bringing in a couple of strikers to address the soft core of this squad.Jenas will be happy the cnut.
