We would benefit from an attacking player who is able to hold the ball.

The difference bum Mkhi and Mata is obvious in this game. Mkhi hides when things go tough. He is supposed to be the one driving us forward. We need Lingard there at least he has balls

I don't rate him as a 10 at all. He is good running onto the ball and through on goal but working tight spaces and clever distribution he isn't great at.

Can someone please tell José that this is not football. I'm sick of watching us going to every match against a club in the top half just to sit back and play the stifle job.

    Play chicken get deep fried!
It is football, you only need players who can hit them on the counter to win this game. Problem is we don't have the quality.

We werent fired up enough, its not there. Its like we dont want it and city want it more.
I think rashford hasnt been protected at all and ref has fecked a couple of chances for us.

I agree in a sense. This game doesn't feel as big as some of the other recent games for some reason. Even as fan i'm nowhere near as pumped as I was for the Chelsea game for example and it doesn't look like the players are either.

We have still be decent and defending reasonably well other than the odd mad moment from Bailly here and there. We can still win this if we actually start upping the pace a little.

And all our balls to relieve pressure are just useless because none reach our players, how crazy is that?!?

People here are right, we should go all out attacking when we are away at City, with our top goal scorer and best midfielder injured because that's what Fergie would do /s

This is the problem imo, it's not even that they're playing that deep but the lack of movement from both off the ball is fecking bad. It's been a clear instruction for Fellaini/Ander to play a bit higher and just release our wingers whenever possible but it's Rashford only who makes those off ball runs. You can see around 38th minute (@GifLord could you get it for us?) that we're locked on the right side, Carrick gets the ball and there's nobody on the left either coming in or doing the run and he's shouting like mad at Martial.

We've won the ball plenty of times in midfield just to subsequently lose it seconds later because we are not able to release anybody, nobody's making the run. This match will cost Martial his spot again if he doesn't improve.

I'd take a draw right now. With our woeful finishing it'll take a miracle to win.

Exactly. If José has set the team to sit back and invite pressure, that's up to him. My problem is the moment we have the ball, we have no clue what to do with it but just lump it with the hope that it gets to Rashford. Surely every good tactic must include instructions when you're in possession of the ball

Carrick is our best passer of the ball but he has seen very little of the ball in an attacking capacity.

We need to sweat out and wait for the game to stretch and use Lingaard's pace late in the game.

Have you ever watched a darby under Fergie? There have been worse than this mate. This aint bad at all things considered with our missing players. Mkhi had a great chance from the Bravo feck up and Ander had an absolute sitter. We could easily be in the lead.

His team was not so poor on the ball and were deadly on counters

People here are right, we should go all out attacking when we are away at City, with our top goal scorer and best midfielder injured because that's what Fergie would do /s

No one's arguing for that, people simply feel we should play a more attacking game considering how well it worked against Chelsea.

We are so rash on the ball at the back. Everyone just wants to hoof it

City are only too happy to concede FK's knowing they are immune against yellow cards.

Why the feck did Darmian clear that with Martial right in front of him? :wenger:

Wish Rooney was on the pitch for the sole reason of shouting at Atkinson. fecking cnut.

Keep this up and they will score

Losing lucidity because the game is getting tougher as they always see City coming attacking. It's the danger when you don't have the ball.

i feel like our players should be more fired up for a derby. i just don't see that guile in them
