He's our best CB anyway. The soccer gods will continue to cut down CBs till Tom Thorpe gets his shot at CB.So we lost 4 defenders in less than 2 games. Now,We go back to Mcnair.
I like this attitude. We need more of that here thanksFellaini with the set piece winner in the 85th minute.
Doubt he's wrong, though. Why, don't pretend to be a doctor please!
pfft. Riggs could pop it back in himself and fight a triad, sure Rojo will be fine next game.Yep, looks like a dislocated shoulder. Minimum of 6-8 weeks out.
I've had a dislocated shoulder 3 times in the past - probably my most painful experience.
He's stronger than Van Persie. He's played that role in the past. He's a lot more feisty too. And he's terrible in midfield. Van Persie has defenders not even working to win the ball back. You can only really improve on that.
Rojo Jones'd himself.
Every thing that can go wrong is gone wrong!
How we still in this game I don't know!
Why, don't pretend to be a doctor please!
When the ball is played to him he's just letting the defender get it. Cannot be outnumbered when one-on-one.He's outnumbered ffs.
I agree the tactical setup was weird and there was a huge gap between our midfield and the defense, something I thought was a thing of the past but obviously not. The part of the defenders not picking up someone who stands on the shoulder of the defenders i correct though. You don't defend against the player but against the ball so I don't feel they are doing anything wrong here. But that's also why putting pressure on the ball leading man is so important so he doesn't have the time to pick out a clean pass.
For some reason we have fallen back into times I hoped are gone. We stand off opponents until we are in our own penalty area basically, we have a huge gap between midfield and defense and we lose the ball way too often with the tiniest bit of pressure being put on us.
At this rate you'd probably be celebrating with your winnings come full time. You lot are aware I backed City aren't you. The powers are trying hard to resist the jinx but its buckling under pressure. Come on United hold them out!
What's with these sensible comments? This is the match-day thread ffs
Get Herrera on. Put Fellaini up top, hold up the ball as much as he can. We're just inviting pressure onto ourselves at the moment.
Rooney isn't anywhere near as good as Van Persie as a lone striker. He's too short and is bullied by centre backs. The performance Van Persie had against Real Madrid was something that Rooney couldn't replicate.
