    Officials don't have the benefit of VAR in these early rounds, without VAR Lindelof's error at the weekend wouldn't have been a pen, either.
     
    I was thinking “we won’t score unless we get a penalty” 2 minutes before the pen.
     
    I think we’ve played quite well really, fairly good intensity lots of good passing and trying to open them up
     
    This has been such a poor half by us...we need to get rid of half of our squad....so bad
     
    We need to be working on our triangles in practice. Players receiving the ball should have two options immediately available or showing to them, yet we often spray the ball out wide or up front and the receiving player is left alone 1 v 1. You can break a team down without any flair dribblers if you have an advanced understanding of passing, moving, and space on the pitch. We have none of those things.
     
    I think we deserve to be in the lead as we have been enterprising. Happy that Williams got it as reward for always being available in final third. Hope that gets some of his critics off his back.

    1 open play goal (+ 3 pens) in our last 345 minutes of play. We’ve needed goals in pretty much all of those so can’t blame match situations of early leads.

    Good time to score. Would like to see some changes at HT for fitness.
     
    Say what you want but Matic is one of our best midfielders. Rarely loses the ball, maintains the tempo and keeps things simple. Shame that his legs are gone but we really need a like to like replacement for him.
     
    Fine half,we started and ended it well and especially considering a lot of these players have played about 5 minutes of football in the last month or two.
     
    We look gassed after 10 mins of pressing. Our fitness regimen needs a serious revamp.
     
    Is there anything in the youth sides similar to Greenwood?

    If so if i was Ole I'd be playing them to try and establish how ready they were, especially given the no fans for a while yet makes it even more likely we will make excuses about not signing anyone else. At least if there are a couple of youth players ready they could at least add a bit of depth and be better than some of the deadwood.

    Dare I whisper Luton has looked better? I know we scored but it took a penalty. It's just so slow and pedestrian, I know there's no fans but still show a little urgency please
