Pogba on the left.....for sure. If Shaw pushes up well and Martial/Rashford drop left too then we can overload TAA's area early on which could give him second thoughts about committing too much going forward. He's the weakest link defensively in that side. It should be exploited.

It's massively a blessing its in an empty stadium, even though they're still great at home. To have such a big game, in front of no fans, that's a bonus.

Against City, we didn't really lay a glove on them going forward.

If we're to cause Liverpool problems today, we need a big game from our attacking quartet, whoever that may be.
Thats also because City shut up shop. Liverpool needs a win here so lets see what happens.
If its an open game, we win imo

It isnt going to be easy to win this. Can we not fecking implode as a fan base if we dont? Progression is being made and that should be obvious, failing to beat these lot at Anfield shouldnt take away from that.

    Really?
Anfield should be a piss easy win :wenger:

The first few years of NBC were perfect. Even NBC Sports Gold wasn't the worst. But now with yet another subscription service they're forcing, it's infuriating. Shameless ripping off of fans
Yeah just saw that it will be on Peacock. Cnuts.

Twitter rumours that it is Lindelof starting, which would be absolutely gutting to me personally, Bailly has to be starting this. Also that Martial is starting up front with Pogba on the left. As I said, purely rumours, but thats the early noise. I'm certainly not betting my house on that talk though.

I wish I had your confidence. Feels like it is always a monumental slog at Anfield.
But it’s not City we are playing today. We are a better team in better form than Liverpool - so need just to trust ourselves and do the job

Matip isn’t at their hotel. I’m very worried about their fullbacks in the diamond but against the defence you have to go with martial and rashford up top - there’s no crowd and they’re very weak at centre back - absolutely go after them with the pace we have.

Fully expecting 3 points dropped. We've been bad in games against "big-6" sides this season, have dropped 10 out of 12 points.

Surely Ole with all his experience of United vs Liverpool games as a player, can get them fired up for this, especially with what is riding on this game- we haven't been in this situation recently when playing them. I shall be very disappointed to see lack of effort and desire. Show a bit of passion, it is a massive rivalry and there is actually something riding on the result of this- no smiles at the end unless we win or draw

I can unfortunately see the Gurning one getting his very fired up, wanting to beat the team who apparently get all the decisions go their way....

Never had a better chance of a win than now. Probably the best time to play Pool who themselves look like they’re struggling atm. But then this is a huge game & anything can happen. Whoever is up for it will win simple as that but boy I’ve not felt nervous like this since post SAF. On paper I’d go for a draw which I think is not a bad result & as long as we don’t lose I don’t care what happens.

A loss for Liverpool at home is huge; much bigger than a loss for us at Anfield. Being unbeaten at home since April 23rd, 2017, has afforded them an incredible psychological advantage going into every home game. Every game and season that passes with their record intact adds to that momentum and self-belief. A case in point would be the difference between before Arsenal's invincibles lost their first game in a season and a half and afterwards. Once that crucial loss happened to them they weren't the same.....even with the exact same set of players. Do not underestimate what this home record is for this Liverpool side.

If we lose at Anfield, we might lose some momentum, yes, but the players have experienced loss both and home and away and the defeat will be no worse than any other this season. Liverpool, by contrast, haven't tasted home defeat with this team at its peak and there's no way to know what impact a loss could have on their momentum and self-belief.
Which is why us going there and winning is more unlikely than us losing.

The arsenal team lost that mantle at Old Trafford also. This isn’t a gimme as some people seem to be suggesting. The ramifications are big for both teams.

City aren’t exactly looking shit either

How in the feck is NBC not showing this match???

NHL is on main channel NBC, that will always take precedent. But it not being on NBC Sports and instead a car auction show is.... Tells me either more people watch the car auctions than football in the States or this is NBC being cnuts and using this to force people to sign up for Peacock. I mean biggest game of the Premier League season so far and they have it on their streaming service? Definitely seems like they are trying to squeeze some Peacock subscriptions out of football fans

Rashford has smashed the feck out of Trent before on the left. He couldn't match him physically. I'd be tempted to stick Rashford on him again.

To be honest, losing to these lot will tell us what we all know inside in that we're not ready to win the title just yet. However, winning means all bets are off the table and maybe we can dream.

It would be baffling to not have Rashford up against Trent. I wouldn't be able to make sense of it with how Rashford has done against him in the past.

Rashford is a shoo-in today I would have thought. Unless you've heard something?

Goldbridge's "leaked" lineup has Lindelof next to Maguire and Pogba on the left.

Apparently it's confirmed that Henderson is playing CB with Fabinho. Thiago is playing in midfield with Shaqiri.

Goldbridge is saying Hendo and Fabinho as centre-backs

probably just copying some knob-head on Twitter though

Whether its Fabinho and Matip/Henderson/Philips/Williams, we have to go at them. They won't know how to deal with Cavani, Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Fernandes, Pogba etc.

This is just a game to enjoy. I have no idea what will happen. My gut says Klopp will out-think the PE teacher, but everything has turned on its head the last few weeks.

I’d be amazed if Bailly doesnt start assuming he’s fit.
