Liverpool haven’t lost all year and we’re the only team to take ANY points off them this year. fair to say we’re the underdogs.

Of course, I understand that, but it's about belief. There were times in transition when United teams were weaker under Sir Alex than the opposition, but the mentality never budged despite that fact. Think high, achieve high. Think lower, you give yourself an excuse to accept lower.

Right, come on. Somehow, some way, the weird feeling that always ends up costing me money says we're gonna have these bastards.

Bewildering line up. Notwithstanding dumping bang on form Mata for the underwhelming Pereira. That alone makes zero sense whatsoever.
Three full backs and two central defenders is also baffling.
A lie down and die look to us at first glance.
But this is a big game. Let's hope every man raises their game to the maximum.

I think Mata is a good guy to have on the bench because in this game first and foremost United need to match Liverpool's physicality, and I'd trust Mata to come on and change a game more than Pereira once there is a bit more space. I understand the thinking. I think.

The state of that team

Klopp can talk all he likes about defensive, sir Alex would have bulldozed a ‘pool side of similar quality.

But remember everyone, there’s no value in the market so this team is all we could possibly be fielding.

I remember seeing the teamsheet for the 2012 Champions League final and being so confused at seeing Ashley Cole & Ryan Bertrand's name. 2 left-backs worked out OK for us!

Yeah, but in retrospect, Bayern were all over you. You defended for your lives. 19 shots to your 6. 20 corners to 1. You can't rely on winning games when you play like that, as a general rule. I mean, yes, it worked out for you, but looking at how you played that evening, not really.

Christ Souness may as well be out there with Pom poms with how he’s verbally rimming Anfield and Liverpool

I am going to enjoy the Ole in and Ole out fight after the match. :D

Couldn't we have worn our black kit?

Otherwise, I'm pleased for Williams in his first derby. Hope he enjoys himself.

And he said it was because the manager and players are talking about putting up a good fight and that seems to be the height of our ambition. To him and players of his era United not been confident of winning a game is just so bizarre.

Would give anything to have a prime Keane line out for us today.

Imagine him clattering Salah after 20 seconds. Miss those days

Ive been saying even when we win we do it in spite of Ole. Like my Grandma could put together a team and it would win sometimes. So lets just pray.

For this match we need somebody that can win the midfield battle (McTominay), someone to run behind their defence, or be a threat on the counter (Rashford), and someone that can play the through pass (Pogba).

I think if United want to get back to the top, James should be fourth choice winger. A squad role that Shaquri has for Liverpool.
I don't think he is a winger. If he is, he's not a very good one. Long term I think he will be more suited to playing central as a Vardy type striker. He is fast, can press and is decent at shooting, that's about it. He is poor at dribbling and crossing and those are the two key areas for a "winger".

Will these cnuts ever learn a new song?

So long as we keep our heads and not concede a stupid goal in the first15, we should give them a game.

I'm not going to worry about this game. I hope our lads do not disgrace us.

Seen worst Utd teams go to better Liverpool teams and still get a result. Come on UTD !!!

And usually when Tyler says it’s live, we go straight to an ad. Instead we are treated to the sight of a horde of slack jawed yokels singing

This game has an air of inevitability about it unfortunately but I’m going to try and not get too invested in it, just relax and not get too pissed off.

The fact that Rashford is out for a number of weeks has really disappointed me, I have to say that Ole really dropped a bollock there, such a stupid decision bringing him on against wolves and it’s decisions like that make me wonder about Oles ability to manage this club, yes it was unfortunate but was that result really that important to risk one our better player's fitness knowing he was already carrying the injury? Not for me and I wonder if that was Ole protecting himself before his player.

Couldn't bear to watch build up. Will quietly watch first half, turn sound down at half time, watch second half then switch off at final whistle and go into communication shutdown.......unless we get a result of course.
