Is Jose just on a huge wind up?

Still not convinced by him. He's had 18 months with these players and they appear not to know how to pass a ball to one another as soon as there's decent opposition. That's not just this season either, even in the Europa we largely had questionable performances against anyone decent.

We won 2 trophies last season.
This season we are in 2nd place in the league.
Understand that we are not Real Madrid. We are a 7th-4th-5th place team and it will take time for Jose to turn us into league Champions.

Toughest away match and you lot are seething. Bonkers. Fair result given our injuries and lack of fitness of a few coming back from international knocks. Be mad at performance, not the tactics or result.

Honestly, rather disheartening performance. Jose is so bad in these type of matches, all he knows to do is park the bus. I really hope in the future we land a coach that can get a team to play football well.

After you said you hope United loses you should close the internet for the day.

I won't, but I will go on to say that Chelsea, City, Spurs, even Arsenal can beat this team.City will bring back the Moyes days and trample this team.

That game, in a nutshell, is why I don't want Mourinho as our manager long-term.

He's done a great job stabilising us and made some great buys but jesus, his tactics are cowardly.

United should be able to take anyone, no matter the venue or opponent.

Utd are so shit it's amazing. Jose will win enough lower games to scrape top four but just aren't good enough against the 'harder teams'.

Liverpool can't defend so we dont bother attacking. Couldnt jeopardise the nil nil draw. Classic Jose.

A point is a point but I really do think we could have won if we attacked. Their defence is appalling.

I honestly feel this result is okay, given how poor we have been coming back from the break. Business to resume as usual after this. (if it stay's like this)

Yep. Playing away to Liverpool is never easy, even if their defence is shockingly bad. They are notorious game raisers against the big teams. If not for DDG we'd have lost.

Expect overreactions galore on here though.

Point gained. This is the kind of result we'll move on from and not look back whereas Liverpool and Klopp will probably whinge about it for weeks and lose their next two matches with distraction.

Probably a good way to set us up considering the international break and injury concerns with key players.

0-0 is a good result - pity about the performance but Jose decided so and so it was!

I said I would take a point and no injuries, so that's good. It is a very good point as it goes, but the performance highlighted some concerns... we should have far more quality than what was showed. We have players with big reputations, and some of them just weren't at the races.

Defensively, very good, but certain players a little nervous. Matic was superb, great presence, he was our outfield leader, along with Young, Valencia. Important players for us.

While I know we better than them and should be winning, I'm happy with the point. That's how Jose wins the league, don't get beat at home and if you can't win away to top teams, get the point. Pragmatic is fine, better than having nothing to show for it. I know people will hound on how we are better than liverpool and should be thrashing them, I agree, and think we should also, but we not always going to be breezing by teams, and the days we don't do that, a point is welcomed, especially with the performance we've put on today.

Our squad cost more than Madrid's. Today we had players such as: Mhikitaryan, Herrera, Matic, Martial and Lukaku all on the pitch and they genuinely couldn't pass the ball to each other. These players are better than this.

Our squad is nowhere near 7th in terms of quality. It's down to the manager to get the most out of the players. I'm not seeing that to be honest.

I just don't get these posts. How many of these games have you watched? Form goes out the fecking window. It doesn't matter how good or bad you look going into the game, we've won games coming from shit form and lost games coming in on hot form....

The thing is, Jose is a nervous manager and this is a nervous fixture. It's not good to watch and it's not easy to watch. What makes it tolerable is the result and overall success he brings. If we look at the overall context and the ultimate outcome then he should be judged at the end of the season.

Well earned point against against a shirt pulling, grabbing bunch of huggers. Liverpool came at us like gangbusters, and we took the point. That's what we came to do. Well done Jose.

You entitled ... Urgh, his responsibility is to win titles. Not some imagined contract with the fans to make sure they are nice and entertained from the comfort of their bedroom.
Maybe but me as a fan, I expect to be entertained just a tad bit.

Bad day at the office. We need Pogba asap. And Felli
United will get raped by City

You really like City a lot.

    Thank you, common sense...

fecking drama queens - 'this is why I don't want mourinho as long term manager', 'we'll get raped by city' etc.

Listen to yourselves. Take a point away at anfield and get over it.

From the Man Utd perspective, full credit to Liverpool for not having a good enough striker to put something in the net and gifting a point.

Nail on the head. Our players were absolutely shattered.

Our attacking play was so disappointing, pathetic booting it forward or just not supporting the player on the ball, we had no intentions of winning this match, mignolet did one thing.

Liverpool aren't good enough to be playing like that.

We must have played well once in the past 15 years at Anfield. Can't believe how shit we are whenever we go there.
