This is our first real test, and we look no better than last season. Worse even. Is good that we're putting away the teams we couldn't seem to last year but against a half-decent Liverpool side we look devoid of ideas and Matic & De Gea look our only class players.

Thing is we're very, very rarely any good at Anfield. Plus it's an early kick off. Plus it's after international week.

Lots of reasons why a draw is a 'good' result, but at the same time we could really have tried to make a statement here, that this isn't the same United as last season.

Potential is not reality. Was evident when lineup was announced we weren't fit for an attacking lineup. Lukaku is not fit. Rashford would have started if he was fit. Matic and Herrera our only true two midfielders. Some wanted Jones to start in mf? Seriously, Jones? Bailly and Jones would have been a different game plan. Jose knows Smalling and Jones together equals liability. If we see this out I'll be happy with the result.
