People here are an autocry when it comes to certain players. Fellaini has played well in these type of games when protected in a 3 man midfield. This time he's protected by two world class midfielders. Martial has to be injured and does anyone remember Lingard's performance in the derby? Consider the nature of this fixture Young is a better choice than Memphis. Put the tissues away.

I don't really get what Young offers that lingard doesn't except Lingard should be much sharper. Suppose Young has the experience but doesn't mean much when he offers so little in attack usually. End of the day there's problems with all our wide options as we don't have a true all rounder atm (well not until Mikhi beds in).

Fellaini isn't particularly surprising although I don't rate him. He adds to our aerial threat though where Liverpool have struggled. My main concern with him is where he plays. I don't want him pushing forward and pushing Pogba back or worse both of them going forward leaving Herrera exposed. For me he's more a player to bring on, not sure I would have started him but then he's shown his use in big games before.

    Not a great team.

Somehow I'm even less confident than I was a few days ago. The Moyes and LvG era basically desensitised me, I'm not nervous or anything nowadays

I'm not happy, why oh why is Fellaini on the pitch? And Young? Job got a lot more difficult, feck.

It's obvious that he wants to beat Liverpool using crosses and set-pieces. Regardless what you make of Young as a player, he can put in some decent crosses and with Fellaini, Pogba, Zlatan, Smalling and Bailly on the pitch - there is no excuse for not creating a lot of problems in the air.

#LFC team to face @ManUtd: Karius, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Can, Coutinho, Firmino, Mane, Sturridge

In the absence of Lallana and Gini that's the best team we've got.

Is Gini supposed to be Wijnaldum?

Scousers and their pet names, djises.

Memphis played internationals, he'll have some match sharpness but doesn't play or even ok the bench? Then Young is starting, deary me. I think we're in for it tonight but we'll score, 3-1.

There's no way Young offers more than Memphis. Bullshit.
I'm not a fan of Young and him starting but he clearly offers more than Memphis who offers zero. Young will run up and down the flank, helping out Blind and crossing to Ibra. Memphis can't do either, at least he didn't show it in his games for us

There's no way Young offers more than Memphis. Bullshit.

You are making out as if Memphis is some super hot prospect capable of scoring and changing a game. He isn't. He is terrible and only plays well against lower level opposition.

Fellaini was obviously going to play in this game but Young is a big surprise! Feels like a Moyesy team.

Rooney's stock has fallen very low if he's not getting into the team ahead of young.

Blind at LB is a potential problem vs Mane. He's one of our most important players though, maybe we could have accommodated him at DM instead of Fellaini.

Good that Ander continues. Disappointed for Mata; in the LvG years he was very good v Liverpool.

Milner has been a threat down their left, looks like Young will be getting tight to him. Mourinho away is known for this type of stuff, I don't mind it either. Let's just hope it works.

Maybe we are going for Fellaini as the AM (and an out-ball alongside Ibra) in which case, that's where the game will be won/lost. If Matip and Lovren can sweep up our clearances and keep up the pressure, we will buckle to their front 4.

Young and Fellaini ? Seriously? Where is Martial ? Is he injured? Why Mata not starting? God.

Cant see anything other than a battering. Liverpool will just be too fast for us offensively and in midfield..

Yeah, he's only got an 89million pound man in there with him
An £89 million pound man that turns like a lorry when it's time to defend. Same goes for Fellaini.

Herrara is going to have the legs run off him tonight trying to compensate for those two.

Fellaini and Young underwhelmed me at first, but did anyone think any result we'd get here would be pretty? It's going to be that sort of game i guess, and they're 2 workmanlike players.

Why the feck is young in? Mou drops mata for being good. Selection is mind boggling .

    Not away to Liverpool.

Seem to recall a pretty good performance by that Mata kid recently vs Liverpool!

Always knew Fellaini would play - disappointed but not surprised.

Young I am baffled as I have no idea where it's come from.

The rest of the selections were as I pretty much expected, although I was not sure wee Rashford would start but glad he is.

Wouldn't worry about Blind - usually does the business despite the so called 'odds'.

If Pogba is given the freedom to be the no.10 tonight that will be interesting to watch.

Would have liked to see Carrick or Blind as a DM...

Can anyone please PM me a decent stream?
