I do not like this idea of sticking with the winning team until is loses. Some of these players have long shown a history of performing well in a few matches only to cause the teams downfall in the next games. There's a boring draw/loss waiting for us just around the corner even if we win this one. We are not going to build any real momentum performance wise.

We could potentially see the most expensive bench ever against Arsenal.

We dug in and got an important win. Do you think we're going to roll teams over? I mean, we're coming off the back of two very disappointing results in our first two games, and whilst I agree we haven't been brilliant, ten Hag has a starting XI that has won two games on the bounce. Therefore, it's easy to understand why he wants to keep that team. Momentum is key!
Because there comes a time when our luck is eventually going to run out. We might have won but how long can we keep this up with unconvincing play, especially when we have players on the bench that are much better than the supposed lineup? Rashford was invisible last game. Why not give Ronaldo a try? McTominay instead of Casemiro is simply ludicrous considering he is one of the main reasons why we can't actually control games and pin the other team down.

Disappointed with the line up. I don't think we've played particularly well against Southampton so don't get the logic. Would've been good to give Casemiro, Fred or Ronaldo a start.

He's had more fouls than tackles per game. I don't think you can classify someone who keeps conceding fouls to be one of our best players. He's a liability currently.

So can you imagine how much worse Casemiro is. Casemiro will get his chance in the 2nd half and McT will get his rest so that he starts the Arsenal game fresh. Some say that McT has been our best player.

I'll give ETH the benefit of the doubt by not starting Casemiro as long as we win tonight. If its a going to be a regular occurrence then it is a disgrace.

Predicted the XI as ETH seems like the kind of sap who goes unchanged when getting results. Not sure that is entirely for the best medium term though.

    Your point?

I'd rather him commit fouls then to be soft as shit in the middle like we were against Brentford.

Completely forgot we're playing Europa league. Just seen the group now.

I think it even goes as far as he runs his first XI i to the ground

On the other foot, the players in the team surrounded by new players with a bit of fire in them might spur them on.. I have no doubts once Casemiro is settled fully and better at communicating that he will be a starter for us.

Frustrating to see Elanga starting again. Hopefully he can prove me wrong and he can look like a professional footballer today.

You are supposed to concede fouls. Hopefully not clumsy ones as a result of an ill-timed tackle, but ones that disrupt the opposition for sure. If you play where McT does and you don’t give away fouls and get yellow cards, then you are leaving half your tools in the van.

Bruno, Eriksen, and McTominay is a shambles of a midfield. No control over that area at all. And if the ball does eventually get through to the final third you've got Elanga and Rashford there, both famous for their exceptional skill with it. :wenger: This could be a long evening.

    Same team every week?

What we bought Casemiro for if its not for games like this, where we normally get bossed in midfield like Tielemans and Maddison did to us last year.

We have Martinez and Malacia still bedding in, I think it’s to ease him in. McT can be subbed off if it’s not going Well; rather that then subbing off Cas it it’s gonna pear shaped.

It’s all about building momentum and The starting team getting used to playing with each other. I’d expect Cas to only start against arsenal if he gets off bench tonight and plays well.

Depending on how game is going I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cas on at HT or by minute 60. Let’s see how it goes…

ETH is creating a system based on Merit, Casemiro and any other player would need to earn his spot. I can respect that!

This is Manchester United not Casemiro FC... If we win and he doesn't get in then so be it

Sticking with a winning team. I thought we'd see changes today.

I'm surprised that neither Shaw or AWB are on the bench. We went with 2 keepers over a fullback.

Disappointed to see the line-up. Can’t see any justification in not starting Casemiro.

The real fun will start next week, when Antony is ready to start. Until then it’ll mostly be shit on a stick.

I'm feeling 2-0 Leicester. Barnes to get both.

    Hope I'm way off.

You're asking me questions that I've already answered. I can only imagine ten Hag hasn't changed the team because it has got us success in the last couple of games. We may not have been that convincing but we got the job done and ten Hag clearly wants to try and keep the momentum of a winning team. They'll be plenty of opportunity for other players to come in.

So why spend so much money on Casemiro? I personally think it's just ETH bedding him in but if and its a big if, this is going to happen alot then it's odd to say the least.

My god BT sport have actually reported the correct Anthony fee. Unlike sky
