*Throw out a load of nonsense and then say you're ignoring a poster. Very balanced and normal thing to do. I'll respond anyway.

State of this. Yes, you are very clearly lacking self awareness, if you honestly sat there and directed that second paragraph at me in your last post. A green emoji only tells me you're a very wound up individual, which is also clear from other threads. Your own insecurities are coming to the fore, but you're randomly directing them at me in a most out of context manner. I'm not the enemy, and if I am, then you're more wound up than I thought.

Your second paragraph is more rubbish. I engage in actual debate, whereas you run to your echo chamber to insult others with your snidey nonsense. And yeah, you are clearly personally affected. Look at you running to put half the forum on ignore because they dare criticise Ole. Weren't you also talking about leaving the forum recently? Sounds to me like it's personally affecting you so. You can throw your silly cliches like 'strawman' and 'triggered' around all you like, but they're wildly out of context. And I'm the one who got 'triggered'? I made a comment in jest, and you flipped the lid with insults and passive aggression. But that is your 'thing', so whatever.

Take a step back from it all and try engage in actual debate. You can keep pretending that everyone is frothing at the mouth because it suits your silly agenda, but it's a fallacy. I've had some very pleasant debate with Ole-in posters since the Villa game, pity you haven't been able to do that. Your posts have been very unhinged lately, so it's honestly best to, either engage in sensible debate, or take a step away from it all. Nothing wrong with my posts btw, so again, this is a fallacy. You see them as 'holier than thou' because you have a personal issue with me.

Onto the game, yeah it'll be tough but very winnable. I suppose the fear is that Leicester - who have been shite - will come out fighting. We need points out of the game given our upcoming fixtures, so here's to hoping for a much improved performance and a good result.

Pity all that was a total waste of time as he won't see it

As much as I'd prefer not to see Fred myself I can't really see him not starting in any line-up. Matic/McTominay maybe?

    Anyone+Pogba doesn't work, we've tried that.

Too early to get the real view as this horrible international window is coming at the wrong time, but I would rotate for this game knowing that we will have a terrific game to play against Atalanta at home and the dippers the following Saturday.

    If no injuries

    ----------------------------------------------Henderson--------------------------------------------
    Wan Bissaka------------------Varane------------Bailly-----------------------------Telles
    --------------------------------------Mc Tominay------Matic-----------------------------------
    Sancho-------------------------------------Bruno----------------------------------------Lingard
    -------------------------------------------------Cavani--------------------------------------------------

First post in a match day thread ! :)

I sincerely think there is a way beyond the McFred in this game. Matic / Pogba in the middle please. Sancho Bruno and Rashford behind CR7. Take Matic off at 60 mins and get Scotty / Fred as Ole's/Carrick's fascination for these two find no end...

The break of 14 days and away from OT should help, taking away the negativity of last few weeks where even the only win against the yellow submarines, felt like a loss, as they battered us.

Keep a clean sheet please. There it has to begin. So leaky we have been at the back, it has to stop for us to have any success from this season....

I'm sure the time frame for N'did was given at about 6 weeks, so no chance he's back.

Evans, I'm not sure about. He's as likely to be back as he is to be out for the rest of the season. His condition seems to be a tricky one.

You guys could be missing everyone and we’d still probably choke, you happen to be at full strength and we’ll jam an undeserved win or draw?! Ole will say “we’ve got a fantastic group of lads who want to do well, we got away with one again today. You have to do better if you want to play for United. Success is in our dna”

The fact they’re on such a bad run makes me think we are going to lose or draw.

It's time for a change. This is the team I'd like to see (it will never happen) :

    ----------------------------De Gea-------------------------
    WB------------Varane--------Maguire (if fit)------Shaw

    --------------------------Matic------------------------------
    ---DVB----------------------------------Pogba-----------
    ----------------------Fernandes----------------------------
    -----Greenwood--------------------Ronaldo-----------

Shaw can provide width on the left, DVB and Pogba both with defensive responsibility and license to get forward. Lots of options off the bench to change the game if we need.

They've got a perfect storm of defensive injuries, so I would hope we should really put them to the sword with our attacking talent.

You would think that, but we’re just as likely to put on a limp and laboured display with barely a few chances created.

Most likely this'll be a draw, especially if we stick with McFred....which we will.
I have to say though, that when the odds are against a win, we normally win. The Villareal game is a prime example of this. They should've won that match, but we came away with the win.

Lot of problems, but I think the biggest is defense. Vardy isn't the monster he was a few years back, but has actually been better recently than he has been for most of 2021.

We've been pretty poor going forward in 2021 imo - we create very few chances, and have been scraping points through a combination of a solid defense, and Iheanacho wonder goals.

Rodgers doesn't seem to rate 'Nacho (he only played him because of our attacking injury crisis), and Fofana and Evans both being out means we're playing a out-of-form Soyuncu (who seems to alternate between world class and championship levels) and Vestergaard (an oil tanker pretending to be a footballer).I think because of this glaring weakness, Rodgers is making us even more defensive than usual.

Most of our games have the same pattern. We have 0 shots, 55% + possession, and make a lot of passes between our CB's and keeper, before eventually gifting the ball away. Our opponent will put a fast (or even regular-paced footballer) on Vestergaard, and play the ball just behind him. Vestergaard, not knowing how to turn around, will leave the ball, giving the opponent a free chance on goal.

The player you probably need to watch out for (obviously other than Vardy) is Lookman. He's probably been our bright spark this season. I would say Iheanacho, but Rodgers won't bring him on 'til the 70th minute when we're losing.

A lot of predictions that we'll turn our form around, but unless one of Evans/Fofana comes back, I don't see it happening.

    3 - 1 United.
I think we'll absolutely hammer you guys 1-1.

Another draw on the cards if we are lucky. The thought of seeing Fred running around the centre of the park like a man without any real mission, is a tad depressing.

If they stick with 2 up top with nacho/vardy then they will cause us problems. Regardless, I expect Vardy to score and do Ronaldo's celebration in front of our fans because he's a massive shithouse.

Simon Stone saying that there's 'little chance' Fred and Cavani will feature vs Leicester due to their involvement and return from international duty.

De Gea, AWB, Lindelof, Varane, Shaw, Matic, McTominay, Greenwood, Bruno, Pogba, Ronaldo.

Maguire if fit would go back in. Fred looks like he won't be available which isn't a bad thing.

Can't see more than a draw in this one. 1-1

    If it was me:

    -------------------------- DDG ----------------------------

    AWB -------- Varane -- Maguire -------- Shaw

    ------------------ ???? ---- Pogba ---------------------

    Sancho ------------- Bruno ------------- Rashford

    ------------------------- Ronaldo --------------------------

McFred don't deserve to start. Fred's been dreadful almost every game this season, and if I recall correctly - he was pretty bad at the tail end of last season. We can't keep being patient.

Pogba needs to go back to midfield, we're leaking goals regardless who plays in the middle so we may well just try to get our best players on the pitch.

Zero chance. Their game will be on Friday morning, and we'll play the next day.

    Back 5
    Matic
    Donny Bruno
    Sancho Ronaldo Rashford

Fred has been probably our worst player so at least he can’t be selected! Needs to come away from the first XI for a few games IMO.

I hope Donny gets given a game now. There's something to be said for a player as motivated as him to succeed actuallly making it.

I think Ole will go with

    .................. De Gea

    Bissaka - Lindelöf - Varane - Shaw

    ....... McTominay - Pogba

    .............. Fernandes

    Sancho - Ronaldo - Rashford

Fred and Cavani won’t be available, so he has to start Ronaldo and play Matic. What the result will be, I have no idea.

2-2 We will go 1 up the 2-1 down and an 88 min goal from Ronaldo to rescue us. McFred will once again stink up the midfield.

Do we really expect Rashford to go straight in as a starter without building up match fitness?

What I would like to see:

    ---------------- De Gea --------------------
    AWB - Lindelöf - Varane - Shaw
    ---------------- Matic -----------------------
    -------- DvB ----------- Pogba / Bruno
    Sancho ----- Ronaldo --- Rashford

What we will most likely see:

    AWB - Varane - Maguire - Shaw
    ---------- McT ------ Pogba ------------
    Greenwood - Bruno ----- Sancho
    -------------- Ronaldo --------------------

    3-5-2
