    Either a diamond or Pogba on the left of the attack I guess, good line-up on the whole taking out a couple of players who need a break and giving others a chance while still picking a strong team (Matic being the only concern really).
     
    Bruno on the bench - much needed, he's been way off it for some time, he'll be on after 60 mins and fingers crossed it will bring his level back up

    Time for VDB to show what he's got. That Matic/Fred midfield though :wenger:
     
    I really wish every one of them will have a good game of course, but I really really really want VdB to have a good one. Nobody needs it more than him and it would be important for United in the long run.
     
    Bruno, Rashford and Shaw all not starting will be great news for Leicester with their own injury probs. Doesn’t make much sense with the internationals next.

    One of our classiest players. Very good defensively, more mobile than people give him credit for and possess a good, quick, straight pass through the lines.

    Actually looking at it. Have we ever lost a game they've both started? Beat Everton and West Ham with them starting too
     
    Hopefully matic doesn't play as an auxiliary cb leaving Fred to run midfield by himself

    Or he just tries to positively influence the game instead of drifting through it? I like the premise of Van de Beek and what he can offer but he needs to take his chance. There’s no use getting excuses in before he starts.

    Aren't these just friendlies anyway?

    England have more than enough depth to not play someone that's been injured for months.

    Leicester without Barnes and Maddison and no one on the bench to make a difference for them. Correct move to give some of our team a break.

    World Cup qualifiers.
     
    We've played the diamond with a false 9 and two wide forwards several times before, so it'll be interesting if that's what we do.

    It was mostly a counter attacking formation when we employed it previously, so let's see how it goes. Hope the game plan is not sit deep and hit on the counter.
     
    The bookies seem to know something eh? Our odds to win have also went up significantly. Sigh.
     
    Hands up, my honest initial reaction to that line up is City are getting ever closer to the Quadruple and we are giving Van de Beek sympathy football. It doesn’t help that a number 10, who won many trophies with us, is loaned out to East London to make room for him.

    I like our team. Deano keeps his place. Bruno gets a rest. We still have creativity with Pogba. VdB gets a chance.
