The line up makes sense with Lingard at RWB in 3-5-2.
I'm assuming we will start as a 4-4-2 though.

    JOSE EXPLAINS RIGHT-BACK CHOICE
Victor Lindelof will start at right-back for the Reds, with the boss confirming Matteo Darmian has joined Antonio Valencia on the sidelines. He said: “Darmian is also injured. We don't have too many more options [at right-back] and Victor has experience to play in the position even at highest level, in the last Euros he was there for Sweden, so it's not a new position for him.”

Yeah, but he could perfectly had gone with Young as rightback.

Our FB options are truly abysmal.

Not really, Axel is a very good option for right back when Val is out. Shaw and Young have both looked good recently. Options are not the issue, it's more who is selected.

Called Shaw not getting the start. He's really got to be on the brink of leaving. Just glad it isn't Rojo at LB.

Weak team. Attack is just filled with inconsistency - We could kill them or offer nothing depending on what Martial or Lingard show up.

    I expect a rough evening.

I got 8/11. Thought Matic was out? We'll probably smash 'em 4-1 now.

Wonder how long the matchday thread will last before someone wishing we were playing like City?

Come on United. Our chance to consolidate 2nd spot.

Darmian injured or fit would play the same way anyway. Doubt we would see a difference.

Listen mate, don't torture yourself, there's no obligation to watch and you aren't looking forward to it.

    Take the night off.

Winning this game will give us a nice 5 point cushion heading in to a hectic christmas period.

A comfortable 0-4 win is my prediction. The lads are going to "bring it" tonight.

I still can't believe we didn't sign a fullback this summer, crazy stuff.

The board told the manager that Perisic was too expensive and that they wouldnt buy him. He would cost the same as a full back £30-40m.

We were not going to get a full back in the summer.

I rolled the dice on Martial vs Rashford and got it wrong, dissapointed that Lindelof is playing RB instead of Young so Shaw could start at LB, it feels like there's no real way forward for the lad at United.

Seriously go and f*ck a lemon mate.

I watch every game I don't get over to. I can have whatever opinion I want. You think fans shouldn't watch games because they're not expecting a good performance? GTFO.

Agreed! Let's keep the thread positive. We haven't even kicked off yet?

Like most here, would rather see Shaw in the team and Young Right Back, but it's a pretty decent team nonetheless.

This is speculation to be fair, no confirmation of this.

We literally have another match in 3 days. Then another in 4. Shaw will play next game. I’m just glad Lindelof is RB and not Darmian.

He spelled it out for the media in his press conferences. He said he wanted 4 players but is happy with 3; then he said that the market is crazy and some players are overvalued when asked about the 4th signing.

If its not Perisic, its another signing that we couldnt get because we didnt want to cough up £40m.
