    ----------De Gea-------------

    Lindelof-Smalling-Jones-Young

    ------------Matic---------------

    ------Herrera---Pogba---------

    -Martial-----Lukaku----Lingard

After Jose latest comments about the players after the defeat to Bristol, I hope they have a point big point to prove, specially the likes of Rashford who I really hope is not involved in this game and Martial who has lot lot better to do.

    ----------De Gea-------------

    Lindelof-Smalling-Jones-Young

    ------------Matic---------------

    ------Herrera---Pogba---------

    -Martial-----Lukaku----Lingard
Lindelöf is too slow to play right back.

Might be Young on the right and Shaw on the left then.

    De Gea
    Young Smalling Jones Shaw
    Matic Pogba
    Mata Lingard Martial
    Lukaku

Subs: Romero, Lindelof, Rojo, McTominay, Herrera, Rashford, Ibrahimovic

Team picks itself with Valencia out, can't see Darmian getting a look in and I don't think we'll see Lindelof at RB. Could be Rojo at LB but I hope not.

I think we'll definitely use 4 at the back over the congested period. Rotation will be required for sure.

Question is what pairs between Jones, Lindelof, Rojo, and Smalling balance the best?

    -----------------------De Gea------------------
    Young--------Smalling-----Jones---------Rojo-
    ---------------------Matic--Pogba------------------
    Mata-----------------Lingard------------Rashford
    -----------------------Lukaku------------------------

Team I think Jose will pick.

It doesn't help that they lost at home against a Manchester club this week already. It's these little psychological things that work against you. On the other hand United also lost this week so the players should be up for it.

Shaw deserves a start imo. Esp since Valencia is out. When is Bailly back?

As long as neither Darmian, Blind nor Rojo will start as backs I'm not worried, we'll be fine.

DG; Young, Smalling, Jones, Shaw; Matic, Pogba; Mata, Lingard, Rashford; Lukaku. For sure this game. No way Jose picks Martial over Rashford in recent context

Mahrez and Vardy played for at least an hour on Tuesday but otherwise the first team was pretty much all rested.

Lukaku only played 30 minutes and De Gea, Matic, Smalling Young, Jones, Mata and Lingard who all started against West Brom were rested.

Only players that played a full game that will be starting this game are Pogba (1st game in 3 games), Rashford/Martial and Shaw/Lindelof/Rojo

Well 2 points dropped by Arsenal and Liverpool tonight, win this and we can go 9 clear of Liverpool and 10 clear of Arsenal

I was talking about Leicester mate.

Wonder if Shaw is going to start tomorrow?..If not than we better start looking for a new LB. Tomorrow will be the most clear indication whether Shaw is a goner!

This could be a rough game. I fully expect Mourinho to piss everyone off and start Rojo at LB - It's quite obvious he loves him as a player/person and I can see him shoe-horning him into the side at Shaw's expense, even though he's been a disaster in every game he's featured in.

This could be a rough game - If we're as flat as we've been recently we'll lose. We need to get our shit together.

    De Gea

    Young Smalling Jones Rojo

    Matic Pogba

    Mata Lingard Martial

    Lukaku
Not the team I want, but the team I'm expecting.

Feels like a pivotal game in keeping second with a slim chance to close City down or spiral down to third or fourth by Feb if we can't handle this fixture. The crowd there can create a good atmosphere.

I think Shaw's the debatable one. Can see Rojo starting instead but agree with the rest.

Yeah. I'd be surprised if Shaw started given he played a few days ago. Not sure he is fit enough or trustworthy enough just yet.

But I do think he'll play on boxing day.

Totally forgot that Shaw had played full match against Bristol. Yeah Rojo is my new choice. But I think he wont be playing as LB, something like Smalling/Jones - Rojo - Jones/Smalling - Young is the most likely to happen imo

Is this the first late Saturday night game in the PL? Can't remember another.

First game of very important four games in the space of 9 days. Win all four, we are still in the title race. Lose or draw a couple, we are done.

I would go full strength for this one. I hope Shaw starts this one. Rojo is an accident waiting to happen.

    Would go with:

    DDG
    Young Smalling Jones Shaw
    Matic Pogba
    Mata Lingard Rashford
    Lukaku

I'm thinking the same line up but maybe Martial in for Rashford.

Shaw surely deserves a start in a big(ish) game now, doesn't he?

    3-5-2 for me

DdG - Rojo, Jones, Smalling - Shaw, Pogba, Herrera, Matic, Young - Martial, Lukaku

Will have lot of cover at the back for their counters - and strong enough in central midfield to boss them.

That team will win the game
