All stems from the fact we can’t take a decent set piece.
He only looked good because he ran back. That's all he did. He ran back. Good to have a defender with pace but if this was Bailly he would have killed Mahrez instead of just looking at him waiting for something to happen.
Btw, Neuer would have swept that up.
Put some pressure on him ffs. He clearly sees vardy coming so decided to play it safe." Not my fault here". Good defender would not allow mahrez so much freedom.Other than back off what could Smalling have done to prevent the pass to Vardy?
Eh? Thats never on Smalling.
What?
Martial's off the ball movement leaves so much to be desired.
But if we did it, would you call it any different?I would call it "how to lump it forward and get lucky with the break of the ball" by Leicester City.
Might have messed up as he has mistakes in him more than de Gea.Btw, Neuer would have swept that up.
To be honest that was my first thought..De Gea at fault there for me
Had an eternity to come out for that and clear away
1-0 Vardy
He shot it way wide but it was deflected on goal. Was even worse than it looked. He didn't shoot. He was tackled.
I think everyone in here should go to specsavers.
i was wondering thatWAs thinking the same. I think ddg could've cleared it if he'd come for it.
He didn't just stand there. Smalling did well to actually catch up with Mahrez there and prevent a clear one v one. If Smalling took Mahrez down in that situation you just know Liescester were going to be awarded a penalty. Jones couldn't cover ground on Vardy like Smalling did on Mahrez

Could De Gea have come for the ball?
Point I was making is that I felt ddg should have come out for that and clearedMight have messed up as he has mistakes in him more than de Gea.
