Who do you want for midfield? it's still our best (and only midfield) Fred is arguably the only player having a good game today. Its the overal inability of our team to win the first and second balls and build anything under pressure, not the midfield. Sabitzer still getting used to the pace but at showed he's got a bite too..

Dalot is awful today I can agree with AWB argument,we really shouldn't drop our interest in RBs in the summer, some similar deal to Malacia would be nice to take out of the hat..

We’re literally playing a whole spine of fringe players, or players that have been out long term. There’s no way this match was ever going to be anything but what we’ve seen. Unfortunately we haven’t taken the chances that came our way again.

Bruno looks overplayed to me. He can still pick out a pass and work hard for the team but his shooting power is nowhere near what he was doing for us or Sporting. A culmination of too many games.

Perhaps we can rotate him a bit when Case is back.

I agree with the first part but Casemiro is really not press resistant and the second part doesn't hold true in my view.

I'd actually put Sancho on the left and Pellestri on the right, Garancho has lost a bit of form and Pellestri is very good and controlled on the ball.

I'd defo get Weghorst off though, he offers nothing.

He's lacking confidence big time still. You can see he's indesisive when going one on one and then just passing it back.

We just don’t play any cohesive football with Weghorst on the pitch. He completely destroys any fluidity. Awful footballer who should be nowhere near a United starting XI. Eriks obsession with him is baffling.

Casemiro cannot come back soon enough too. The Fred/Salbezer combo is pure chaos. And not in a good way. Throw Bruno into the mix and we don’t have a single player who can calm things down and dictate the game.

I don’t want to join in the pile on but Wout has been anonymous, Sancho has at least had a couple of nice touches and has been no worse than any of the other players. I’d like to see more from him though.

De Bruyne's 20/21 season had 6 goals and 12 assists in 25 matches and 1977 minutes.

Bruno Fernandes had most goals + assists that season but he also played over a 1000 minutes more than De Bruyne. Not even close to the most productive player per 90.

I know everyone likes to think they were right all along but the vast, vast majority of people knew that having 3 games a week was going to be problematic.

I still support him. However I simply expect our fringe players to be better at football considering that they are playing Leeds and no City. We have better players on the pitch than Leeds in basically every position.
