A mixture of rest for Rashford and Lindelof who have been struggling with niggling injuries and rotation in areas we have food back ups in DDG, Telles and McT.
Hopefully go a couple up before the hour mark so we can get Bruno off ready for Spurs.I think we'll get through this, but Im a bit worried about our forward options going into the business phase of the season.
Martial and Rashford look pretty much spent, Cavani has tailed off pretty badly. We're basically left with Greenwood leading the line. Ironically, we could probably use Ighalo now than when he was with us this season.DDG

Just go for it now.Our players had (quite a lot of) rest during the international break, Pogba, Bruno, Rashford, Cavani, Shaw, Lindelof, Wan Bissaka, Henderson, de Gea, Fred, van de Beek. I think only McTominay played 3 matches. There is no need to be resting, get a great away result against a quite average La Liga side, and rest players when the schedule is busier again.

Good team, that. I'd probably play Cavani if fit, even though he had an absolute stinker v Brighton. Just because I think he still has a good level to offer generally.
But your line up is likely the most accurate. I can see James and McT definitely starting as they were rested. Wonder if Matic will start in place of VDB.Should be stuffing these. Bang mid-table in La Liga and have also somehow conceded the most goals in the league without scoring very many either. Same goal difference as relegation sides. They must regularly ship hatfuls when they play the big teams.

They'd have improved even further if Lucy Meacock was out far left wing.We should absolutely not rest anyone for this game. With our lead ahead of 5th place, the Europa League games should be main priority for now.
Obviously, players with genuine injuries (Rashford?) shouldn't be risked. And the keeper situation is awkward so, presumably, DDG will come in. But there's no way that the likes of Shaw or Fernandes should be rested for this game. If they need a rest, put them on the bench v Tottenham.

I'd like to get van de Beek into the team to see if he can build up some momentum, but I really don't think the priority Q/F is the place for it - same as I didn't in the FA Cup v Leicester.
