    Nah Rashford needs to start on the left but Elanga is just awful Id try Garnacho or even have Bruno back out there.

    Awful player who will do feck all for 60 minutes before being replaced.
     
    The Lindelof-Martinez CB pairing leaves me with a feeling of dread. Not confident about it at all.
     
    We are a bit light defensively in the middle but there is nobody in that team who can't play football, as long as Rashford stays wide and focuses on running at his fullback.
     
    Don't trash the elanga pick without saying who should have started in his place. The pick isnt exactly first preferred choice

    Garnacho can't play RW and Rashford is potentially a mat h winner on the left. EtH has no choice.
    It underlines how we still need another RW.
     
    Line-up is fine given the circumstances. I probably would've preferred Maguire over Lindelof but there's not much in it
     
    Need to watch out for that Andreas Pereira guy, Brazilian thats been key to Fulham's attack and involved in plenty of Mitrovic's goals

    Yeah that's not happening anytime soon with all our needs. We'll have to manage with Sancho, Antony and hopefully Amad.

    I see the logic. Antony will be in at RW, Elanga is just the placeholder for now.

    A front 4 of Martial; Rashford Fernandes Antony - with Garnacho off the bench could grow into something great.
     
    Not much can be done with the lineup. Best possible. Hopefully it's enough. No great options on the bench

    I'm sure he can but he's never played there and Malacia has never really played RB apart from the few subs. So... it's pretty risky to play 2 players on the same flank that they've never played on in an important game.
     
    We really don’t have anything to come off the bench other than Garnacho. Really need the starting eleven to do the job here.
     
    We still have one spot on the bench empty.
    Is Pellestri injured? Is there not another player we could have called?
     
    Best line-up he could have picked given the options he has.

    Do we? Both Antony and Sancho being out is a bit of extreme situation, therefore Elanga plays there. I don't think we're in a need of another RW unless we offload Sancho.
     
    Elanga is a bit of a disappointment, but we're so thin in the RW position it'll have to do. He better do something today, too many nothing performances from him.

    Fully predict Garnacho to come on around 62nd minute on the left, Rashford either moving to ST or RW depending who comes off.

    Pellistri apparently left early to join up with the national team. It's definitely not just a question of talent with Pellistri, and Ten Hag probably sees him as somebody who isn't part of any future plans and that the player probably doesn't want to be either

    Picking Garnacho instead would have involved shifting one of our more important players (likely Rashford or Bruno) out of their preferred positions. Elanga is the choice of minimal disruption.
