  • Duncan Ferguson saying there was contact, as if that justifies a dive.
    Contact is allowed.
Pens and free kicks are awarded for fouls, not contact.

We’ll probably hear the same sh1te on MOTD tonight and the usual “ he had a right to go down” cheating mindset.

    .
I'm glad duncan ferguson wasn't playing - would have eaten maguire alive!

Not that it's surprising but the commentators, even Rio, making it sound like the penalty non-call was some incredulous decision is the same old tired narrative of just making things more dramatic because Utd.

I would put Hojlund instead of De Ligt.
I think Højlund was fine today and last week. His touch on the ball was good today and he worked hard. But he gets no scoring chances.

De Ligt had so many strange and poor passes today. He did not look motivated at all.

It was never a penalty. Absurd people are claiming otherwise. If that was outside of the box in no way would a foul be given. There's simply not enough contact to make him fall the way he did.

The only time we ever look decent offensively is when we get desperate and abandon amorims plan to an extent

Rich coming from him. He’d absolutely fill someone in and act surprised when the ref blew for a foul.
my abiding memory of him was of a photo that wasn't published in the paper but someone I know got a copy.... he goes commando on the field and his shorts got bunched up: he's got the smallest dick in history

when you tug an opponent's shirt, you risk giving away a penalty. and maguire did

 honestly hey, don’t give me hope. I was banging them in for our local amateur 4th division football team these last 3 seasons
Haha! Glad you are enjoying your game. Regardless of the division, the joy of playing and scoring doesn't diminish!

Absolutely!, was never close to a pen.

It wasn’t a pen but we were very lucky to have it overturned.
Ashley would have scored if he didn’t dive though.

    Zirkzee out and Hojlund in
Chido in and both the clowns out, seriously if he was 19 not 17 he’d be g starting for us now. We desperate need to get Bayinder back or Heaton in Goal and see whether Lindelof or Yoro can start?

MDL and Maguire can’t play in the same team, can you imagine Moyes seeing Maguire, MDL and Casemiro as Triangle defensive unit in the left zone without Dorgu it would have been a disaster, plus Garnaucho and Dorgu link up looked exciting!

Add Onana ridiculous pushing out shots into danger in the 6 yard area, with both Maguire and MDL being so slow to react, we will continue to concede the 1.7 goals per game, he’s set up 3421/5221 and conceded 25 goals in 15 PL matches, that’s much worse than ETH, the system played with our players invites pressure and I keep saying playing either MDL or H Maguire means we try and play out in front of 6 yard box inviting the press and pressure, Amorim needs to change this or he’ll be picking up his P45 much sooner than maybe he thinks.

They can not both play in a back three as they will be targeted in every game left.

We need to get MDL out of our club, he’s one of those Dutch players who thinks he’s much better than he actually is and he loves throwing his team mates under the bus!

Slow and clearly just here to pick up his ridiculous wages of £190k per week, no one else in world football would pay him more than £120k per week, he’s not good enough at all!

So many on here were claiming he was a great signing a couple of weeks ago. I don't see anything he is actually good at

I’ve been consistent, wasn’t happy with this signing; you don’t leave Juventus and Bayern unless they don’t want you.

Here’s the issue; our coach plays a 3421 system which goes 5221 Man to Man when the ball gets overturned.

The 4 in midfield today for 65 minutes of that game was Dalot, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dorgu. Dalot and Casemiro lost the ball far too often and Ugarte and Dorku were chasing back far too much, maybe some of it is fatigue, maybe Casemiro is finally gone but then when you lose the ball; Our Coach persists with his ridiculous idea of going man to man just like Leeds did when they got relegated under Bielsa and he had mobile young players!

You can’t play man to man with players like Harry Maguire, Casemiro and MDL, they are far too slow to play this system and what worries me the most is that this coach needed 15 PL games to find this out, Wilcox is technical Director surely he can see the problem and a small adjustment would solve the problem. The back three move 15 yards higher to be much closer to midfield 4 and make the team more compact as they join up with the front 3, he’s proved he can do this as this is how he set up against Liverpool and Arsenal away.

Amorim said on the interview; “The players are too slow to React and close down the opposition!”

So he knows the problem stop picking a team and setting them up to go man to man when he doesn’t have the same young athletic players he had at sporting.

He won’t get much time, right now we might not get relegated but I’d put money on it we finish bottom 4 if Amorim doesn’t changes his tactics!

    Who actually signed these players?

It's inconceivable to me we can employ people who have forged a career deciding which players a football club should sign, gave them a budget of 100s of millions of pounds, and they've managed to sign a squad that is the 15th best in the premier league.

These people should never work in football again.

It’s obvious that under ETH we literally had no scouting network. Thats why every signing was a former player of his or an opportunity that the front office got suckered on (Casemiro). Our recruitment is worst in Europe.

Same here. I’m turning 26 on Tuesday and this is ten times worse than any other point in my life.
I’m 36 next week so almost exactly 10 years older than you! Happy early birthday btw! Yeah it definitely has never been worse than this since before the 90s. At least we can’t be accused of being glory hunters anymore. It actually depresses me watching how bad we’ve become, I don’t look forward to the games anymore.

But look it won’t be this bad for long, give Ruben time and money in the summer and things will start to improve.
