it's a mute point
Oh no, Lingard is mentioned, Ole confirmed he's in the squad. Will he play?
Needs to be in the shop window for January

Everton have a few knocks tooI reckon we'll rotate more than they will as it means more to them and they don't have Europe. But suspect a few changes for them too.
And trust no oneRest everyone.
I think this is the part where you seem to be thinking differently than the ones putting out a B team. This is a game we should be looking to win
I know but, still, seven years without a league win ain’t long. Ask Arsenal, Everton, Villa, Leeds all big clubs who won the league in our wilderness years and have been waiting a lot longer than us. Then you can ask Liverpool, try 30 years. And for a laugh, ask Spurs.Ah yes, the classic glory hunter dig.
I have emotional ties to Manchester United through decades of supporting the club. Just because we are in a slump doesn’t mean I have to accept lowering the standard our finance and stature demand of us.
I didn’t care when Fergie lost to Leeds in the LC, or started Bebe in the FAC against Crawley at home and eked out a 1-0 win. And I’m not gonna change just because the fan base have somehow become content with finishing 3rd and got less than 70 points 3 out of last 4 seasons.
AWB is out injuredI think many are overestimating some members of our squad. This is a game we should be looking to win, and if Everton put out their best team against some of the XIs I've seen in this thread then we are guaranteeing a defeat.
The players we should be resting here are those that have good enough backups imo. There's Telles to come in for Shaw, Henderson for De Gea. Though Matic and Van de Beek has not been very good, but I think they should be adequate for Fred and Bruno if we could get a hold of the game.
Greenwood and Pogba got their rest last game so should start. Think one of Martial or Rashford should start as well, and Cavani should be adequate replacement for the other.
If Lindelof could play, then I think he should start with Maguire and AWB at the back. Just can't trust the likes of Williams, Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzebe.
Struggling to understand the attitude towards this game. Would be a shame to field a weak side and lose this and then proceed to lose against Leicester as well.I think this is the part where you seem to be thinking differently than the ones putting out a B team.
Ah. Guess it will be Williams then. We need another RB.AWB is out injured
They can’t. They have too many injuriesEverton will pick their strongest 11 and with Ole needing to rotate, I think the result is somewhat forgone conclusion.
Which leads me to ask: how often have City faced the strongest 11 opposition in the league Cup? Probably goes some way in explaining their recent success!
Guess so. We only have Axel who can fill in there reliably, unless it’s TFM. Not confident if it is TFMAh. Guess it will be Williams then. We need another RB.
Are there any of the kids ready to step up?Guess so. We only have Axel who can fill in there reliably, unless it’s TFM. Not confident if it is TFM

What exactly will they “cherish for decades to come”, may I ask? It is merely a league cup game, no one cares whether you won a particular game in particular league cup round. What matters is the title itself, the trophyAncelotti basically confirmed they'll play their strongest XI. No wonder, this is their cup final. Win here and they
can cherish this result for decades to come.
They have the Blades and City in short succession. They’ll play the strongest availableWhat exactly will they “cherish for decades to come”, may I ask? We need to play a 2nd eleven in every competition apart from the league. Hope Ole thinks this way
Could be 3 or 4 days before Uniteds first EL Semi final game..
We are starting getting injuries and there´s a lot of games to come. I think we just need to rest a few, and we can still put on a pretty strong team. Imagine the tempo in the back four with:
............... Henderson
Fosu - Tuanzebe - Bailly - Telles
... Donny - Matic - Pogba
Greenwood - Cavani - Martial
I was literally thinking the same thing - I'm really confused? But I think that just ensures that will make 9 to 11 changesIt’s a joke that we’re the earliest kickoff this weekend after having the latest midweek kickoff.
Death, taxes & City getting easy cup draws. If we win this, I guarantee we'll get Spurs in the semis and City will get Brentford.
