I'm weirdly confident we'll nip this in a bud quite comfortably.
That is the power that one good signing can bring. Bruno is not only a class above himself, but he also elevates the others around him.

    Looking forward to this match.

Bailly has to play this one, Lindelöf will get his lunch money stolen.

Calvert Lewin will be licking his lips. I think because Bailly played yesterday, he won't play Sunday.

Ole has already said he needs to be managed.

Ole still talking about that 4-0 and that one or two had their last chance as a result.

Presumably one was Lukaku and the other Smalling. Guess you're not coming back then Chris. From what i remember they weren't even the worst players on the day.

If Everton does not set up differently we will beat them. They set up expnsively.
They play mostly 442 or 433.
Either way they're defensively vulnerable at right back.Sidibe is positionally suspect. The key to winning this match is by exploiting the space between their RB and CB.For this I will have Bruno starting slightly off the left as a Mezzala and use James at LW.I will also play McT because they play two upfront so that he can help our CBs defensively.
My team for this would be.

    -------------------------DDG-------------------
    AWB------------VNL-----Maguire-------Shaw
    -----------------McT-------Fred-----‐--
    Mata/Greenwood-----Bruno-----James
    --------------Ighalo/Martial-------

    Subs :Romero, Lingard,Bailly, Matic.
    Prediction :Everton 1-3 United.

Maybe some things were said in affect? Have you ever said something you didn't actually mean because you were angry?

"One or two..." I interprete that as one definitely and then almost another. The forum suggested Matic, Martial and Lukaku were the poorest performers on a bad day. Lukaku went for a neat sum, Matic didn't play much in autumn until injuries struck us hard and Martial has on numerous occasions been challenged by OGS to up his game. Smalling wasn't gonna stay unchallenged in the first eleven, so he chose to try his luck in Rome. I think OGS has backed his own words well. He's been testing his team, identifying positions in dire need for immediate strengthening and not accepting lack of effort or complacency.

We'll do them this time. Ighalo and Greenwood to score. They'll get a consolation goal.

I'd like to think we set up exactly as we did last night, but I think it will be more of a 5 at the back shithousery, which I'm absolutely fine with if it gets a result, but don't really want it to kill our momentum now we actually seem to have a little for a change. I'm saying we nick it 1-0 with another Ighalo tap in.

    DDG
    AWB Maguire Lindelof Shaw Williams
    Matic Fred
    Lingard Bruno
    Martial

Sadly I think the positive introduction of Lingard might prompt him to start.

Crying out for a RW summer signing now, it's as clear as day.

We're both in a bit of form, barring Everton's shaky defending last time out vs Arsenal. I expect them to get at us early and try to put us on the ropes.

If Martial's unfit I'd like to see Ighalo and maybe Greenwood starting.

Ancelotti is a clever sod. This will be nowhere near as easy as some are predicting.

    .................. De Gea

    Bissaka - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw

    ............ Fred - Matic

    ............ Fernandes

Greenwood - Ighalo - Martial (James)

Too much has gone right for us over the last couple of weeks, I’m wary. Feels like we’re about to come crashing down to Earth.

I hope Ole makes them re-watch last season’s 4-0 mauling at Goodison and warns them that a similar performance and result will not be tolerated. Give the players an extra bit of motivation to make up for that embarrassment last season.

My tea leaves are telling me we'll dick Everton this weekend! Never argue with the tea leaves.

The team actually look like they're enjoying playing football and gaining some much needed self belief.

    We'll dick them. Tea leaves.
I’m not superstitious but I killed a chicken this morning, read the bones and it says we’ll win
Jesus Christ, wth, you two are so weird!

I looked at my Crystal Ball... we smash them, revenge for last season. Honest.

I think this fixture has the potential to send us flying back to square one. A draw obviously wouldn’t be the worst result but a 2-0 limp performance, as we’ve seen countless times this season and it spells real trouble.

Need to be extra piped up for this one as it’s Everton’s cup final. For some strange reason they seem to think this fixture is the Merseyside Derby.

Whoever is predicting an easy game in this one hasn't got a clue. Like you said Ancelotti is a master and he will know how to set up against us.

I'd be happy if we treated this fixture in the same manner we have been for the top top teams, five at the back with a strong midfield and grind out the result. Points are the most important thing now not plaudits.

Actually feeling good about this, and I don't mind the 3-5-2. James would have had the first goal against Brugge if not for that handball, and he came off early, so I'm thinking he starts this one. Still not sure about Martial's fitness, might start Greenwood instead, but:

    DDG
    Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    AWB - McTominay - Bruno - Fred - Williams
    Martial - James

Subs: Greenwood (James) - Ighalo (Martial) - Matic (McTominay)

    Everton 0 - 3 United

I reckon we’ll smash them, our tails are properly up at the moment. Adding Bruno has added some experience and positivity at that. Also some more fight, I’d be confident of pulling off a win even if we go behind. We have a bit of spine now with Maguire at the back and The three midfielders. I’d like to see us go full strength this weekend assuming Martial is back, no more of this 352 nonsense.

Looking at the extended highlights (thanks, fecker) seems that quite a few players weren't at the races that game. Smalling, Pogba, Dalot at fault for the first goal, De Gea for the second, Lindelof and Smalling for the fourth...
