I said last summer we should cash in. He's a talented player with an awful work rate and a worse attitude. He now has 5 years on 150k plus a week.

I remember people giving me loads of shit about my opinion

It's always been potential with him. He has no desire to win like all the top players do. Hopefully we move him on somehow.

Jesus fecking Christ this is abysmal.

Total lack of effort, ambition, creativity.

Too many players going totally missing again - has Martial even touched the ball yet?

Pogba is the only one attempting anything.

Even BT are saying it, where are Martial, Rashford, Pogba and Lukaku? We have 11 cowards out there.

    Appalling 1st half.
We are not coming back from this, the players have no fight, passion or the mentality to get back into the game.
Season is over, scrap most of the 1st team and play the youth for the remaining games.

Even with many other contenders, that is possibly the worst 45 mins we’ve put in this year. Fecking awful. On the plus side, I genuinely don’t think we can perform worse in the second.

The signs have always been there. You'd have to be blind not to have seen it. Everyone hailed, for example, the great result away vs. Spurs, but the reality of that performance was that Spurs dominated a game in which they were unfortunate not to win, but for De Gea heroics. That we counter-attacked well for obscured the general performance. Arguably, during many games on our win streak our general play showed signs of what we're seeing now.

Let's be honest, that was one of the worst halves of football our club has ever produced.

    Shocking display.

I would put some of these into the reserves for the next couple of weeks and start our youth. Let players play that actually want it and fight. This is a joke. Let them rot in the reserves until they change their attitude.
did you see the way phil foden played yesterday? really wanted to cement his place in the team for next week, next season and the next 10 years. our lot are thinking about the beach already: I'd love to withhold their wages for a week

McTominay and Sanchez in - Dalot and Matic out

Change to 3-5-2 and just go for it...

I'm with you on that. Not normally one to knee jerk in the match day thread but this is cowardly out there today. Every single one of them stealing a living.
The only silver lining in these shit show performances is the HOPE that the board wake up and realise that they are going to need replace most of these lads.

Only thing any team needs to do to get points against us is show a little bit of a fight and we'll lose our composure... Bunch of pussies.

    Hope this season ends ASAP.

Sad thing is Everton aren't even playing well. They are doing everything everyone knew they'd do yet we still look disinterested and lack any effort.

    Truly appalling.

I'm worried, not just about this shit season but the next one too. Can't buy more than 4 players it seems, management team look out of their depth and the players we have all pretty much clowns.

Time for a clearout! Play youngsters if Ed won't buy anyone, I don't care, some if these players are a disgrace.

We have no one in the squad, who can take this game, by the scruff on the neck.

Ferguson, always had leaders in his squad, big characters and someone who could produce a bit of magic and drag us through games.

We looked like strangers. I have no idea, how we’re supposed to play. Tactically outplayed by Everton.

I’d bring Sanchez and McTominay on at half time. Replace Matic and one of the front three, they’ve all been pretty anonymous, thus far.

My Liverpool supporting cousin jokingly asked if United could please beat City. I just told him, sorry you're on your own.

I would be demotivated as feck if my boss told me a bunch of people will be laid off in the summer. Why would you fight for your team if you're not certain if you're are in their plans?

Dreadful performance. Also lots of gestures by players showing they are irritated by their teammates. Something is rotten in that dressing room.

I am starting to feel more and more sorry for Mourinho as well. And LVG. And Moyes. And every other poor coach/staff that has had to work with these players after SAF retired. Some of these players are a disgrace to the badge. O'well, at least it makes it easier for Ole to kick the players to the curb come summer.

Feckin had it now I just cancelled my football subscription service on the telly.

I'm not one for going full kneejerk in the matchday thread in the slightest, but I actually believe that most teams in the Championship would have given these a better game so far than we have.

It is absolutley on Ole for playing Matic over Mctominay. Matic has been shocking this season. A defence of Lindelof Smalling Jones and Dalot is unacceptable in the PL

Too many sub standard players in our squad are dragging us down for years now. The likes of Jones and matic are right at the center of all our activity and their lack of motivation is dragging everything downwards

We need a major clear-out of all the players that have let us down time after time since Fergie with their quality and disgusting attitude (Young, Jones, Smalling), the players who are not good enough anymore (Sanchez, Lukaku, Mata, Matic) and the players that don’t want to be here (De Gea, Pogba).

Sell them all and start again. It’s not going to happen but it’s the only solution IMO.
