Chelsea will play people who need games to earn a meddle, they will lose, we will lose and 4th is done.

We should forget about Chelsea beating Liverpool and concentrate on winning our game. It's shows how far we have fallen that our fans are hoping and praying for that.

Manchester United should beat Crystal Palace. We need another one of those special Rooney speeches, our desire and pressing back to get 3 points.

Not feeling good about this game actually. The pressure will be huge and Crystal Palace got nothing to lose. Hope Carrick is fit to play and really hope our players do what ever it takes to win, most important game this season. If we lose this we are done.

When is the press conf today ? As our player are travelling to London, I guess the press conference should be around 12:00 or 14:00

    Grow up ffs

It's our fault that we've been drawn back into the race for top four, but the pessimism on here is simply ridiculous. It's as if people view Chelsea as the underdogs, at home to Liverpool. Simply absurd.

Lose this one and we're in the fecking Europa. Need to play at a proper tempo otherwise Palace will nick the points

    Hope to see :
    --------------DeGea--------------
    Valencia--Smalling--Rojo--Shaw
    -------------Carrick--------------
    -----Herrera-------Di Maria-----
    Mata-----------------------Young
    -------------Rooney--------------

With Depay landing a helicopter in halftime, scoring three goals and reveals his new "This is what u "rejected" Brentan?" Tatoo

Shaw's back so that'll be Blind in the midfield position. Hopefully he doesn't have a horror show like he did against Everton.

    So probably
    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Fellaini
    Mata Rooney Young
Though Di Maria might come in for Mata or something seeing as we've gone 3 without scoring

This possibly with Di Maria coming in for Young or Mata.

Blind really needs to hold his position. He just needs to sit in front of the back four.

    ------------------DDG-----------------------
    Valencia---Smalling---Jones-------Shaw
    ---------Herrera-----------Blind-----------
    Mata------------Fellaini------------Young
    -----------------Rooney-------------------

Bench: Falcao, RVP, Di Maria, Januzaj, Evans, McNair, Valdes

RVP, Di Maraia and Evans to be our subs

Alternative is to start with Di Maria on the midfield and Fellaini on the bench and bring Fellaini in as an impact sub if needed.

    -----------------DDG-------------------
    Valencia--Smalling--Jones---Shaw
    -----------------Blind----------------
    -------Herrera---------Di Maria------
    Mata-----------------------------Young
    --------------Rooney-------------------

Bit more football in the midfield but we'll lose our physical presence both upfront and in the middle.

Early goal for us is a must I feel, build confidence and quiet the crowd early doors and we should be alright.

    Herrera Fellaini

Happy with that. Please no Rooney in mid, he's clearly not ready for that yet. Hard to see LvG not selecting RvP, though.

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Rooney
    Di Maria RvP Young

Can't see RvP being dropped, he probably will still get to prove himself in a 433 for his place next year. Didn't want to drop Fellaini but Rooney will play.

We need to be able to counter their pace so that line up makes sense

Disappointed with myself for going with a draw in the prediction. This week has been so shite bar the Depay news that there is no way we're leaving Palace with anything except maybe a goal.

3-1 Palace with Zaha tearing the fullback to pieces and laying on a couple, if not scoring himself.

Expectations seem low, which is normally followed by a comfortable win. 2-0 with 75% possession.

First, Mourinho will want to finish the season properly, so hopefully he'll field a strong team.
Second, I'm sure he would hate it if Rodgers beat him.
And third, he obviously loves United. :smirk:

That being said, we should really just concentrate on winning our game. It feels like a fecking eternity since we even scored a goal.

This isn't chelsea going to win the league, this is chelsea that have nothing to play form, and we haven't won or scored in 3.

Fellaini has to play away at Pardew's Palace. Blind in midfield, Rooney striker with Van Persie dropped. Shaw and Jones back into defence.

No way RVP is getting dropped after being our best player last game. Rooney should be on the bench, but because of his captain status he will play in midfield and one of Fellaini and Herrera will be dropped.

Probably been said already but if we win and Liverpool don't against Chelsea then we're guaranteed CL football next year right?? Must win game to avoid Liverpool thinking they have even the slightest sniff.

    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Mata
    Di Maria Rooney Young

If we beat Palace I don't care if Chelsea turn up with their flip flops on & deck chairs in hand for their game on Sunday.

Just doesn't sit right having to hope they do us a favour to save us from our own crapness, if we lose again we deserve everything we get.

I like the look of that side, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Fellaini and RvP both start.

    --De Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Jones - Shaw
    --Blind
    Herrera - Rooney
Mata - van Persie - Young

Chelsea will do their part. We must hold up our end up the bargain.

No more Fellaini at center forward.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Herrera Blind
    Mata Rooney Young
    RvP

    Final Predicted Line-up:
    ________________________________________________________________________

    1. de Gea

    25. Valencia 12. Smalling 4. Jones 3. Shaw

    17. Blind
    7. di Maria 21. Herrera 10. Rooney 18. Young

    20. van Persie

    Bench:
    32. Valdes, 33. McNair, 44. Pereira, 8. Mata, 11. Januzaj, 49. Wilson, 9. Falcao

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Man Utd (van Persie, Rooney)

I like the look of that side, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Fellaini and RvP both start.
RVP should not start. He's slow, offers nothing defensively (I know some will say he's there to score goals and not defend but we need a forward who runs hard, closes the ball and stops the build ups at the beginning) and hasn't been getting into the right positions this season. In fact would prefer to give Wilson a go for the next few games.

Against a fairly tough, organised side in Crystal Palace would rather have Mata/Herrera in the middle who are both able to move the ball quickly and move players out of position rather than fellaini from the start. He's always a fall back option for the second half as well then...
