50/50 on the pen. I’d want it if that was against us, but he he does get the ball as well.

Clumsy though. You connect with the legs in that situation then usually the ref gives it.
Perhaps VAR did it’s job noticing the touch on the ball

I think it's probably a pen. But if it happens down the other end, BT wouldn't even be mentioning it at half time.

AWB has to stop being Bambi on ice. It's already bad enough that TFM provide no attacking threat on the left then you have AWB falling all over his feet and panicking as soon as he gets the ball on that right side.

We're leading but I'm officially worried. Our levels are dropping at the worst time in the season. Proper squeaky bum ending. Hope the naysayers can see the team is crying out for depth. We barely have one competent first XI. Just one player out and we drop down several levels. Big summer needed.

I only know of one poster who doesn't think the squad should need strengthening. Are there more?

Our big money right back signing is terrible with the ball at his feet.

We need to cut out losses & get some quality full backs as without attacking quality full backs it makes games so much harder to win

Are you just wumming all around everywhere in every thread?
AWB is quality. Not the best of games so far tonight but so are few of our other players. He's super solid defensively, and his attacking play is coming along swimmingly. He'll be a starter at United RB for the next 7 years+.

I'd honestly prefer United to keep the ball at times, the reason other teams attack so much is United take a punt at killer balls from nowhere and they lose possession needlessly.

Sometimes just take the sting out of the game and hold the ball.

    Obviously tired but in front.

The great thing is we have so many natural finishers now. A good chance, and you feel like we should score. Just need one to fall to any of the front four early doors and then see the game out.

He has no ball playing talent. He's horrible in build up and attack. I can't see it improving.

I reckon Palace will shift Zaha to the right at some point to charge at TFM. Looks a mismatch in the making.

I think that would suit TFM as all he'd have to do is defend and I think he's do well in that regard. He obviously isn't going to attack and man marking someone is more something he'd be up for

I get the rationale behind starting Scotty, but when teams aren’t just letting Bruno and Pogba pin them back you need a bit more help from that spot.

The fullbacks could do better helping us get forward as well.

Yeah we need width from our fullbacks as Palace are very narrow and crowding the midfield space.

Fosu-Mensah playing is making Shaw look good.

Dozen games this season (ok, maybe not dozen) proved that we don't know how to park the bus. We must go for second goal and play like it is 0-0
We shouldn't park the bus, agreed, but playing like it is 0-0... dunno, it was all a bit shit when it was actually 0-0.

He’s not United quality, he’s pretty average & rubbish going forward. Looks clumsy & unsure what to do every time he has the ball.

Not good enough for Manchester United

Everything for Palace runs through Zaha, pretty much. TFM hasn't had much to do defensively (he's given the ball away a few times near our box) but he's been absolutely abysmal going forward. The direction of forward doesn't seem to be something he's aware exists.
I got it. My expectation from him is very low. As long as he is holding his side of defense...

Defensively he’s a beast but needs to keep working on the attacking third

Seen Chavs and Leic one out games whilst leading...not many on here confident we can keep clean sheet! We simply don't defend with much conviction to justify that faith.

Whats people's views on Laird? Could he possibly come in for at least half a game to give AWB a rest? Or too much throwing him in the deep end?

    wow, what a stressful half.

Hopefully a quick goal or two in the 2nd half and Ole can rest a few players for the FA Cup tie
