No he's right. Misread it myself easier. It's the injured players he wasn't spotted with suggesting he has travelled with the squad to Selhurst Park.

I predict he'll be on the bench and only brought on if needed.

    Oh I see :o

    Prediction:

    De Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    McTominay Pereira Pogba
    Lukaku Rashford Sanchez

    0-1 United win.

I can see this being a very difficult game but I still feel we will win. I’m going 2-1 with Lukaku bagging a brace.

Will be happy with a win anyhow. Somehow don't think it's fair to expect beautiful, flowing football with all the injuries. Both Lukaku and Sanchez are struggling to score, but they absolutely have to step up in this game.

    --------------------de Gea--------------------
    Young--------Smalling---Lindelof------Shaw
    -------------------McTominay----------------
    --------------Pereira---------Pogba----------
    ---------------------Gomes-------------------
    ----------Lukaku--------------Sanchez-------

Fred, Chong and maybe Garner off the bench. All the above under assumption that Rashford is not match fit

They really have to, and I thought you could see signs that they really wanted it in the last match. Much would be forgiven if they win this game by running their socks off. Nothing would make me happier.

Our defenders are fit and in form so I can't see us concede more than 1 goal. The problem will be scoring since Lukaku and Sanchez are out of form. Lukaku has impressed me the most coming from the right so I would play him there with Sanchez from the left and Pogba / Gomes / Pereira as a false 9.

    ----------- De Gea ---------------
    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    ------------Mctominay------------
    ---- Pereira ------------ Pogba
    ------------- Gomes --------------
    Lukaku ------------------Sanchez----

Feels like streaming sites are hard to rely on too, given the demise of the Reddit sites.

I have a horrible feeling this could be a bit of a banana skin for us.

We've got some very big injuries and Palace are good at home.

Bring in Dalot and Fred and that looks a very good lineup to me considering injuries.

I've been a bit dissapointed at the time our youngsters have got considering it's Ole but i could somewhat understand the pressures. Today though it feels like if we're going to follow through on the United way talk then a few should start.

Yeah they are truly exceptional at home.

I’m probably no more aware of him than you, and yes he’s only 19 and of course he will be raw, but from what I’ve seen he seems a Giggs type player.

We all have to start somewhere and who knows he may even be the answer to the right wing?
His physique is holding him back. But his dribbling at pace is brilliant from a technical POV. Will cause problems to the Palace defence if given the opportunity.

I was thinking about Dalot too but since we already have so many changes I felt like it would be best to keep the back 4 the same.

Have Palace got any injury problems? I'm stuck at work so I'm hoping my stream will work or I'll be relying on the caf's commentary team.

Thanks. I still think we are good enough to get a result there but our squad is pitifully thin for a club of our stature.

It really isn’t. I imagine Palace fans wouldn’t have too much time for us moaning that we have to maybe start Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku due to a few injuries. Maybe even out £53m midfielder we haven’t had much use for. The players need to get the job done tonight and shouldn’t make excuses.

Can't wait for the game. Regardless of result, I know we will have a go. Can't describe what that feels like.

Neither Gomes, Chong or Greenwood are gonna get a serious game any time soon. No manager gonna do it.

I have to disagree. United is one of Europe's elite sides and should be geared to to compete in four major competitions each season. I agree that our spending has been questionable but we have very little quality cover for key positions. Central defence is weak as our the full-back positions. We have no cover for Matic or Herrera and if Pogba gets injured, we are in deep shit. Up top it's not so bad as you've pointed out but if we're providing second-rate service to Sanchez and Lukaku, we'll see second-rate end product.

Ole has a massive job to do this summer (assuming he gets the job) to fix the squad problems and move some players on.

    Is he even fit ?
Ole said it was possible and apparently he hasn't been spotted among the injured players today at Carrington. My predicted line up is based on the fact that Ole might risk him considering the state of our midfield and forwards.

How good are Barca's replacements for Messi and Suarez? How good are Madrid without Bale, Vincincius, and Benzema?
How good are Liverpool without Mane, Salah and Firmino? Our centre back problems are so grossly exaggerated its nauseating. Maybe its a hangover from Mourinho but we never needed a CB and we still don't. We need a proper fullback for our right hand side and another pacy forward who can play on the right and to rotate with Martial, Rashford and Lingard. We have 3 covers for our 3 midfielders. If Fred isn't good enough get rid of him and replace him. The issue with Sanchez and Lukaku isn't second rate service. The issue is their second rate first touch and their second rate pace.

Doesn't mean the squad isn't thin, it's just expensive.

No sure , he may be on the bench , but after Lingaard he will be not so eager to play him
That's true. Though when he talked about injuries in that presser he said it would probably be too early to risk Martial, alluding to the Lingard injury. But then separately said Rashford's injury isn't as bad as they feared. Who knows...

Surprised that almost everyone is going for a win. I'm going for a 1-1 draw due to our injury crisis and Palace's good form. Palace away is a very tough game and even though we seem to have a great record against them, haven't lost to them since 2011 and that was in the league cup, our last loss to them in the goes way back to 1991. Selhurst Park has always been a happy hunting ground for us and I hope we grind out a win today as I expect Arsenal to win so if we drop 2 or 3 points, we could be 3 to 4 points behind them.
