Is that some sort of new phenomenon?

We used to play Bayerns and Barcas midweek between Prem games with minimal rotation.

And that was when we didn't need to consider qualifying for the competition next season. Europa league should be prioritised if anything.
I think playing Thursday nights and also having 3 key players out long term hurts.

Shaw is so much better at LCB than at LB, but for all the wrong reasons. He’s somehow more attacking and has a willingness to run from LCB.

Because we have another game in three days that's, like every other league game hereon in, crucial to our success as a football club? I just know you are one of the people who wailed on Ole for letting Rashford "succumb to a stress fracture", but don't mind letting the boys play 3 games in 7 days, crossing your fingers it all goes well.

It's hardly rocket science is it?

We have two big games in Chelsea and Brugge away. Big games for our CL chances. Followed by two "lesser" games at home to Watford (obviously under Ole that's a tougher game than City away) and the return leg against Brugge. If we blow them away today we could have rested the entire side at Old Trafford.

Any intelligent manager would have made a couple of changes tonight, then a couple more against Watford, then given the remaining players a rest in the return fixture.

The players have had a two week break. The players finally have some serious momentum after Chelsea, which we've not had since the Spurs and City games. Ole has blown all of that away with this moronic selection.

and why the feck is maguire strolling around as if he's taking the dogs for a walk in the park?

Martial working hard in the rain. Did really well for the goal, made something out of nothing.

    Martial hits post (43’)
Martial hits the post - Ming saved it

Martial being very aggressive and dangerous, good thing because there's no one else on this team looking to join him in that regard.

    Evening all!

Wonderful start to the day from me. 15/20 minutes ago I wake up to find us already 1 down in this one.

I get a river up and bubbling....and the moment before we score....you guessed it. Full on drought.
    Good evening

Ole for once in your life be proactive. Change this at half time.

One of Bruno or Igalho on for one of those unless lads.

We have looked far better since we scored. Martial unlucky hitting the post. Lingard done some good work at times nicking the ball back.

I’d still swap out mata and pereira

The lack of creativity in this lineup is predictably nonexistent. Hope Bruno comes on for the second half, I’d like to take most of them off to be fair.

So many of the players on the pitch simply aren't good enough. Martial's pretty much the only one showing any quality. Once again the level of our squad is being horribly exposed. Take a few first XI players out and we turn to diarrhea.
