Bruno has laid on gilt edged chances for Marcus and Antony. We should be at least 1-0 up. If we suffer a setback second half it'll be clear why. We need someone up top who can do both the on and off the ball work Ten Hag's system needs.

 It never works because it's such a stupid phrase that makes no sense

It means if you had scuffed it a bit you could fool the keeper and it could go in but you hit it with a perfect contact so it was easy to read. I'm not sure why it winds people up.

Whereas Antony completely shanked it with his poor right foot.

Shame we didn't get the lead the performance deserved, but the fact we've continued the level of performance from Wednesday is a very positive sign.

It's not exactly because he's done anything wrong. But he is just... well, boring. He just doesn't really do anything in particular.

Thats fair. But people are talking about mistakes, bad passes, touches etc. That's not whats happening. He is moving the ball well most of the time his touch is good, makes passes etc. Just he is low on confidence and isnt as progressive as we'd hope. But he isnt hindering us like Rashford last season for example who literally couldnt control the ball for huge parts.

Thank feck Potter brought off Cucurella. He's been awful and doesn't seem to know how to pass a ball forwards.
I mean, a lot of us said he wasn’t all that when you lot paid £60m for him but as usual you guys got a case of the Lukaku’s and wouldn’t listen to anyone but your own euphoria

Need to be giving Garnacho a chance in the coming games. Hopefully Martial will be fit anyways and Rashford can move left, but Sancho is in his worst form since joining the past few games. At least he was beating people once in a while last year and making smart passes.

Similar to the Spurs game. Been the dominant side, so much so that Potter had to make a change. All we need is that goal but we must be careful we don't get caught by a Chelsea side who have looked better since they made the change.
I think Ten Hag will reposition the players at half time. He was doing that on his board. Yeah, we had a few minutes spell where we were a bit struck by the change but it was better after that.

Playing really well, seen enough in this game to show that we can create multiple chances that a top class striker would bury so whatever the result ends up being there are positive signs. We have to back ETH in Jan with whatever targets he wants but I fear we won't lift a finger. Casemiro has been majestic, so nice to see a proper CM. Sancho on the other hand looks like he left his self belief in Dortmund.

I'd take a draw now, they came into it the last 9 minutes with their tactical change matching us as a 3 in the middle. Think we'll regret not nicking a goal, hope I'm wrong

Except for the last 10 minues, we were just dominating them. The sub helped them obviously but we should have done better in possession then after.

Looking pretty promising dominating another TOP6 team, especially away from home and against very compact /progressive football playing manager like Potter.

We need todo better with those chances. Maybe Fred on for Sancho at 60minute mark is on for better control now on. Should throw in a kid like Garnacho in at the end for Anthony, wouldnt be a bad idea..

I expect Chelsea to get stronger 2nd half and think they'll win 1-0.

If we had a proper striker, and Rashford on the left, I think we would be leading this.
Sancho needs a drop asap, painful to watch.

Yes it was. Ronaldo wouldn’t have the pace to get that chance in the first place.

True but Keane doesnt care about facts when it comes to Ronaldo. He named Ronaldo a top 3 player of the current Premier League season just a few weeks ago. He might actually be serious. Those ex United players who played with Ronaldo certainly say the weirdest things when it comes to Ronaldo :wenger:

Some of you guys are at Sancho and its silly. He hasn't even lost the ball or wasted opportunities like Antony and rashford he hasnt misplaced passes or anything. He has defensively helped shaw all half and kept the ball moving. His only shot was on target. You can say you want more dribbling but he done nothing bad at all.

He's definitely wasted opportunities by doing feck all on a few occasions when he could have gotten a cross in or tried to beat his man. You want your winger to create danger, not recycle the ball.

Ten Hag is building something great, hope he'll be given the time and resources. Literally the first time in years we've looked comfortable pressing big 6 teams away from home, instead of just being penned in and hoping for a counter and some miraculous de Gea saves.

He literally misplaced 2 passes in the defensive third alone.

I'm not saying he's a bad player and that his transfer was a bust but he is definitely struggling to produce and making mistakes. Luckily there have been other players in the squad who looked way worse 6 weeks ago that are doing well, so there's a good chance he can get himself together.

That was a joke from Keane right? The Ronaldo would have scored that?
Definitely not a joke. Keane loves Ronaldo but he should know better. No one is bigger than the club.
Doubt Keane would say the same if he was on the pitch and Ronaldo walked out early. Sort it out Roy.

I think everyone overreacting, I thought Keane was joking, in a pretty dry manner - but it came off as a joke to me

Not as sharp as mid week but it’s been an alright display so far. We’ve controlled the game mostly, but the passing has been a little slack at times and the quality hasn’t always been there. 2nd half will be much harder now Kovacic is on, in the short space of time he’s been on he’s helped Chelsea wrestle back somewhat.

Good performance so far. Only criticism is the passiveness. Sancho is taking the phrase ‘run at them’ too literally. At least make an attempt at a cross or shot.

You can tell the players don’t trust in Rashford in the air.

 there will only be one idiot if we dont win this
What does we win it or not have to do with this? Ronaldo would be nowhere near that chance and ffs his shooting has been shite. You're a Ronaldo fan right?

We need to be more clinical... everything else seems to have clicked but you cant waste chances like that versus a team like Chelski. We seem to snatch at our chances when we have a fraction or a second to decide where to place.

Are you watching another match? - playing their player in down their right wing for one !
He's doing nothing and is our clear weak link -

He didnt play their player in. Defender touched the ball he got tackeled. The same thing that has happened to Anthony 3 times already its normal. But he had one or two misplaced passes like everyone else on the pitch but no bad touches, a shot on target good movement. Nothing that is actively affecting us negatively.
