We haven’t played Valencia in a few yearsI haven't been this confident in victory since the Valencia game midweek.
We're gonna batter them all over the park.

Yes first goal will be massive. Problem being Chelsea don’t seem to concede goals nowadays. In all probability they will. But I just hope that we are able to score first. Because if we are having to chase the game, that will be particularly difficult.

AWB Bailly Lindelof Shaw
VdB Fred
Sancho Bruno Ronaldo
Mason
Ronaldo’s our best goalscorer and outfield player by somewhat of a country mile, so I wouldn’t drop him for sure. However, as good as he is, he can’t play upfront tonight. Letting Chelsea’s 3 CB’s play out with no press will lead to a flaccid loss with 30% possession. We need to at least have a go tonight, so have Mason and Sancho pressing the CB’s and Bruno sitting right on top of Jorginho to inhibit their build-up play. Lukaku thankfully isn’t starting, so Maguire being out is a blessing in disguise (or just a blessing probably). It could all go wrong, but I fancy Lindelof and Bailly against a fluid front 3.
Chelsea 0-0 United, hopefully.
If I was being optimistic, I would hope the players might see this as a chance to impress the new prospective manager, which would mean showing some real work ethic today.Greenwood press?
In my fantasy football draft I have varane, Maguire, and lindelof. Not been good...I can only see us scoring once. We never keep a clean sheet so at best a draw…
Most likelyAnother pounding on its way I feel.
We will win this.
We'd need to get into your box for that.Ref is from Wythenshawe, so probably. Not sure how Taylor is allowed to referee Utd given all his family and most people he knows will be Utd fans...
Get your money on Chelsea red cards and Utd pens?
It'll change when all fully confirmed rather than the current agreement subject to negotiations with Lokomotiv.MODS!!
The lineup prediction still saying Ole. Needs changing to RR after today.
Agree re. Carrick, but what’s even more important than the experience is that he seems to be a thoughtful chap who’s actually capable of learning from these managers and working out why what they attempted worked (or didn’t).I'm actually feeling more confident in this than I probably should.
Just because I have always felt that Carrick might turn in to a good manager due to his experience with SAF, Mourinho, Van gaal and others.
What’s funny? Greenwood has 12.8 pressures per 90 over the last year, 3rd in our team to Sancho (who’s also in my preferred team) and Cavani in terms of attackers. Unless you want to rush Cavani back, thus also losing Mason’s pace and explosiveness on the counter, then this is the best we can do.Greenwood press?
Is Cavani available?
