Small club mentality, that.Like most of us, I don't think he's all too bothered about the League Cup. If you win it, nice. If not, no one cares.
Don't think winning the League Cup does much for our young lads. They're used to winning already from years of youth team dominance.
This time i actually think 5 at the back is fine from Ole. Have you seen Chelsea's attack? At home, they're going to try to push forward and attack.Another negative lineup ffs.
Could be lip service of course, but I’ve just listened to Frank Lampard express how this is a special competition to him and he’d absolutely love to win it (Talksport)Like most of us, I don't think he's all too bothered about the League Cup. If you win it, nice. If not, no one cares.

Well you are in Stockport. It’s full of city fans.
If this was the FA Cup I'd agree with you. But honestly, I couldn't care less about this. I have often forgotten who even won this trophy by the time the season ends. Bit like the Community Shield.Small club mentality, that.
I'd expect that kind of talk from our resident Tottenham supporters, not your lot.
Yeah, he's got to say that, right? I'm sure as a former player he does indeed enjoy it but as you can see by the team he put out it isn't a priority.Could be lip service of course, but I’ve just listened to Frank Lampard express how this is a special competition to him and he’d absolutely love to win it (Talksport)
Just realised Mata isn't starting. If there was a game i'd accept him starting it's at his old club in the League Cup.
I’m sure you’re right. For what it’s worth he’s really impressed me so far this campaign, and I was quite skeptical early in the season. Seems far more experienced than he is if that makes sense. If this was the FA Cup I'd agree with you. But honestly, I couldn't care less about this. Agree with this. We have an early Saturday kick-off and PL is far more important to us at this stage. Given our lack of depth, we can't really afford injuries (or even fatigue for that matter) to James or McTominay. Would've like to have seen both of them given a breather tonight.I personally think in the current circumstances we should be heavily rotating and firmly prioritising the league form. It would be really nice to have the league as the sole focus through to January
Are we on TV?
ThanksSky Sports Main Event
any rivers ?
Seems like it! Shows how many our forwards are scoring reallyDid anyone else just see that Sky Sports stat that showed McTominay has scored 24 goals?
No Mata. Watching.
