Our defence, even with £130m spent on it this summer, is incredibly over-rated. AWB is a big improvement but can anyone honestly tell me we look THAT much better at CB than when it was Smalling instead of Maguire? Honestly? And we're even playing three of the sods nowadays. Disclaimer - I don't think Smalling is good enough to be a starting CB for us.

Not sure you can judge the back four fairly with Loco and Williams making up half of it. We’ve also had our best left back injured for most of the season and missed AWB for a few games. AWB and Maguire are still settling too and despite that our defence is statistically improved in last season considerably.
