Martial has taken a few strides forward and then promptly stopped and passed backwards virtually every time he's gotten the ball, including in promising positions on the break. If he's not willing to take players on - with dribbling being by far his best quality - why have him in the team?

Just my reflection of the game.That may very well have been Matic' worst performance in a United shirt.We will win this one. They are not better than us. We just need Jose to slap each and every one of them, or whatever he did or said at HT against Newcastle.
I don't think any game where we've made it to half time and we've not created a single chance can be described as having spot on tactics.If Lukaku could produce such precision headers, we would have been level

Disappointing. Martial has been terrible. He really has no ideas which is the most worrying thing.Utd sucking the marrow right of life at the moment. SO many players just going through the motions. Said it loads of times but it still rings true, no effin leaders on that pitch in a red shirt.I'd take Pogba off for Fred or Herrera, need to get some control in midfield and to do that we need 100% effort.
Lukaku just isn't doing his job either, he can't play with his back to goal which we need him to do against opposition as good as Chelsea.Nothing surprising so far. Except maybe that the defence isn't looking bad and Chelsea didn't create much in the first half.
Plus, our defenders are often tasked with defending their players alone, while Chelsea is able to throw two or three players at our wide players since we're not willing to properly move our players forward. We're playing scared.A real contrast of styles. Sarri plays the modern quick passing possession game whereas we adopt a much more traditional, counter attacking approach.We've done alright in general, pressed quite well at times and popped the ball around a bit but we look completely unable to create threatening situations and chances, our final third has been completely ineffective really. Pogba has to do better with that marking, it's not good enough at this level to completely lose your man like that.Bring on Herrera just to kick lumps out of Hazard.So frustrating from Pogba.Lukaku, Mata, Martial, Rashford, Matic, Pogba so poor.

Depends on what our tactics are. Not allowing Chelsea to run away with it is a very important tactic. Chelsea could be very damaging at the Bridge.Very disappointing first half due to the way we went behind. Poor marking, Chelsea 1-0 up and able to pass the game away.
Our game plan hasn’t been bad, we just need to use the ball better in wide areas. There is a way back here. We haven’t gone to mush like in some other matches where we’ve conceded. That’s a plus and could give us a springboard for the second half.I’m bored.

Just get him off and get Sanchez on.Pogba's an idiot here for the goal. Let the defender decide what he's doing and then you as a midfielder fill in accordingly. Lindelof might not be top notch but that's not his fault.
