Our record at the Bridge is terrible.
I'm still bitter about that 3-2 (two red cards and Hernandez offside goal).

0 wins in the 21st century would have been magnificent piece of stat!

We won 3-0 at the Bridge in 2002. And 1-0 in the CL in 2011.

This is the game where the hammer will fall, every wnkar wanting Jose in will go flip flop. You need to be a good side to beat Chelsea in there EDL shed.

The most obvious loss of the season. We are always shit at Stamford Bridge.

We need to play our best technical players in this game! So Pogba, Fred, Pereira Mata. At least 3 of them need to be playing.

We attack, we have a chance.
    We defend, we lose.
    Up to you Mourinho.

Fellaini needs to fit in there somewhere.I don't think Stamford Bridge is the place to start Pogba,Fred and Pereira.Don't get me wrong I said in the Newcastle Match day thread that that was the kind of match to try that midfield 3, I just think Chelsea needs a Fellaini, who seems more solid than Matic at the moment.

Couldn't ask for a worse fixture straight after an Int'l break especially when we are this fragile, early KO too. Can only see a L, there are weaknesses which we can look to exploit out wide but I doubt Mourinho would set us up for that.

We won 3-0 at the Bridge in 2002. And 1-0 in the CL in 2011.

He probably started supporting them after Abramovic poured in the money, there's only so much you can learn off Wikipedia.

    How about?
    DDG
    Smalling Fellaini
    Pogba
    Dalot Fred Andreas Shaw
    Mata
    Sanchez Martial

I'd be surprised if it is not a very one-sided game in terms of possession and attempts.

But they conceded chances vs Arsenal and Liverpool and even Cardiff scored there. The task to take something from that game is not hopless.

Worst possible game for us coming off the back of yesterday. Think we'll see nearly all the players who finished the match yesterday start, with Lindelof coming in for Mata or someone.

We rarely win at the bridge. No hope for this, 2-0 Chelsea.

Valencia is the worst of them, did you see him against Valencia (team)?
Did you see Young yesterday? Or against Brighton. One game does not make Valencia the worst. He is obviously the best of the lot at defending.

This is one of the few games in the season where I expect the bus to be fully parked and walled in.

Jose Mourinho, do what you do best.

If we sit back and defend, we will get beat. We gave lost our defensive heads completely this season. I'd rather we go put and attack from the off.

My preference represents the above, in addition to dropping poor performers and players that are now unfortunately past it.

    De Gea

    Dalot, Smalling, Matic, Shaw

    Perreira, Fellani, Pogba

    Rashford, Sanchez, Martial

I'm in two minds about Fellani. He has performed well as an Anchor Man in protecting the defensive against physical teams. Not sure if he is appropriate against how Chelsea play and we need someone more dynamic. If the latter, I'd bring in Fred and move Perreira to a more defensive position

We always seem to go to Stanford Bridge in late October.

I stand corrected: Arsenal has won as many league titles as you have league wins at the Bridge in the 21st century.

I hate Chelsea away. We've been shit there for as long as I can remember.
A draw would be a nice result.

Guaranteed dropped points at the Bridge, especially since Chelsea are flying. We might as well play 37 games a season.

For how terrible we've been this season, and it is absolutely, diabolically dreadful, we are someone only 7 points behind the top three teams. For how poor we've been, I really feel thre gap should be far greater than this to the top already. At least 10, but it isn't. What's more, we actually have the opportunity over the next few weeks to make it even better.

However, we won't IMO. Stamford Bridge is somewhere I never expect us to win, even if we're in scintillating form. At best we can hope for a draw and not making up any ground just isn't good enough, even at this early stage in the season. Odds are we haven't turned a corner and by the time we've played City I expect us to be more than 10 points adrift of the current top 3. We'll do well to overtake Arsenal at this rate, which is sad to say.

    Welcome another false dawn.

SUBS - Martial (Mata), McTominay (Fellaini), Rashford (Sanchez)

    Chelsea 4 - 1 Man United

Summary of the game: - Jose parks the bus, but we end up conceding after less than 10mins. They score again around the 30min mark, we have one shot on target before half-time.

Second half, we claw one back (Smalling, header), then they just run riot on us again and score another two.

Back to square one, with Juve waiting in the wings.

They will smash us just like Khabib smashed McGregor and we will be 8 points away from a 4th spot in october.

We have the worst defense in decades, but Mou excels at matches vs Top Sides (Spurs aside) so who knows...

    Cup final?

I think every United fan needs to get on their prayer mats and hope Hazard picks up a knock for Belgium in next 10 days.

Even when average he's played like a man possessed against Man. United in recent times so clearly someone who wasn't enthused by Mourinho's last few months managing him at Chelsea.

He'll probably be the difference like he has been most games this season, 2-1 Chelsea.

    Stamford Bridge....
    We are in poor form...
    They are unbeaten....
    After the international break.....

    United win, of course!

Let's see what joys the international break brings. Hopefully we are at full complement and have a bit of confidence restored.

    Chelsea 4 - 1 Man United

If this happens, I am sure Mourinho's post match interview will be as follows.

Reporter: "Jose, where do Manchester United go on from here?"

Jose: " We were defeated 4-0 2 years ago. We scored a goal today. We have improved."

Reporter: "Why is the defence so poor this season?"

Jose: " You have to ask Mr. Woodward."

Reporter: " Paul Pogba posted on Instagram yesterday..."

Jose: "Hey Mike, what did Paul post on Instagram yesterday?"

Reporter: "Sarri said that he would never play football like you.."

Jose(angry): "How many titles does he have? I have 3 premier league titles. Until someone wins 4, I am still number one."

Reporter: "Jose, you have the champions league match against Juventus next. How will you approach it?"

Jose: "They have more european heritage than United. We have to defend, defend, defend."

Reporter: "One Last question. There are rumours that you will be getting sacked. Is it true?"

Jose: " There is a massive manhunt for my head. This club will not get a better manager than me. If it rains in London, it's my fault. Brexit is my fault.

Reporter: " Pretty sure Brexit is not your fault. It's May's and Boris's...(Jose interrupts)

Jose: "I have to go prepare to get my ass whooped by Juventus. Have a good day".
