    Can people pls not react to team selection or formation at all. We know neither have any bearing on the outcome.
     
    Been watching that crazy game at the Bridge when they had 2 sent off and Hernandez scored that goal to win it! Wow - let’s have a repeat please.

    Just two changes from last game's lineup with Lindelof and Mata for Bailly and McTominay. Fans of 'Damien's predicted XI' would have got 10/11.

    Fair enough - on paper this doesn’t bode well for us but doesn’t stop us wishing for the best. Games after the international break often throw up weird stuff. Hope the lads turn up for Utd and the fans today.

    All out attack it seems today. Mourinho is doing strange things. Playing ultra defensive teams against West Ham and Newcastle from the start, but attacking Chelsea.
     
    Mata at number 10 should be good. Hopefully that’s a 4231 anyway, and not some 532 with Matic at centre half.
     
    Why can’t Fred get a game? He’s got to be a better option than Mata.
     
    We should have a proper go at their defense. Rudiger/Luiz is good for a mistake or two.
     
    Nice attacking team, win and he's a hero, if we lose he'll blame the fans saying "they wanted us to attack everyone, this is what happens when we do". Free hit for him.
     
    Not happy with this lineup at all. Needed at least 3 in the middle. This will be a really hard game.

    Good. looks like we are set up to attack. Mata at number 10 is very important because he can help link the midfield and attack.
     
    Wow, the team looks very attacking on paper with good counter-attacking potential.

    Midfield seems weak though and Chelsea will go through it at will, imo. But their defence isn't the strongest, so it will be crucial to be clinical.

    He only made it to London late on Thursday and didn't travel to Carrington. Had no time with the squad to train with tactics etc compared to the others.

    Got 10/11. Thought Mata might start and Herrera might not but wasn't 100% sure.
     
    Wow, looks like we're going for the attack. Hopefully the break has enabled Matic to regain his legs. I wonder if Herrera isn't fit enough to start or whether Mourinho thought 'feck it, I'll keep with the attack-attack-attack that came back against Newcastle'?

    Can we keep the fecking negativity out of here. it's the game thread for feck sake, go into his thread and shit on him. he can't win can he ? people always seem to find something to hit him with. maybe he just wanted to give us fans what we wanted ! why would it have to be calculated.
