We obviously can't blame Zlatan for today's defeat so all the blame goes to Pogba. It is trendy to blame our two best players for everything, so hey why not. Meanwhile Rashford who misses a 1 v 1 opportunity to equalize gets zero mentions. Rojo who was doing nothing and made Kante look like Zidane gets zero mentions. Right.

Solid display from United, Chelsea are good but Conte made them a terminator this year. You Utd fans have two ways ahead: take the positives and improve or act like a small club thinking it's the referee.

Says one who supports a team that gets all the help in the world from referees !

You can blame Ibra for getting banned as well.

Not too displeased with that, all things considered.
Would have much preferred Herrera to have shown a little more restraint of course and that Rashford could have been blessed with a little more composure and been able to lift that ball over Courtois.
It was always going to be difficult even without Ibra's suspension and the last minute injuries to Martial & Rooney didn't help matters.
I'm really pleased, and I suspect Jose is too, with the overall spirit of the lads today. He sent the team out on a mission and I think his plan was sound. Yes, we got a little too close to Hazard but he IS their main danger man and I'm not upset almost everyone had a kick at him.
I was also happy to see Rojo have a good go (without getting a red) at that feckin' biscuit Costa ... what a divin' c'nivin' cnut he is!
Put that behind us and move on. We've still got lots on our plate and the name of the game is recovery now and we only have until Thursday to get ready, so pitter-patter ...
    C'mon you Reds!

I don't know how Pogba will end up, but SAF was roasted for letting him go on a free and many fans wanted Pogba back.

    Shitshow.

Pogba is a disgrace, needs to roll his sleeves up. Petulant arm-flailing isn't a game winning trait.

Fellaini = loss. He offers zero. He's brutal. zero redeeming features, might as well have played with 9 men.

    Darmian, invisible.

    Young, couldn't cross a T.

Smalling, surprised he remembers to breath sometimes he's so thick.... captain?! What a joke.

That smug little prick Oliver ruined things, but Utd done he selves zero favours.

Rojo and Valencia, only two outfield players with any passion left on the pitch.[/QUOTE
    And Jones

    Costa is a fecking cnut.

As for the game - it's a bit pointless criticizing the players as we had to play around 60 minutes with a man down and when you consider the players that missed the game, this was a logical conclusion/result. Pogba was at fault for their goal, but thought he was doing very well prior to Herrera's dismissal and, needless to say, it's much more difficult to do your job in midfield when the entire game plan changes all of a sudden.

As others have already said, I'm content with the performance. We held our own in this very difficult situation and even came close to getting the equalizer had Rashers not missed one on one with Courtois. They had more chances, but that's to be expected really.

Thought Herrera's sending off was harsh and that was the most disappointing thing in this game for me. Thought there were double standards in the ref's decisions tonight.

It's disappointing to exit the competition, but at least we won it last season and you can't win them all. If we finish the season with an EFL Cup and Europa League double, I'd be a happy man.

Pogba has scored more goals than Mhkitaryan this season. But Mhkitaryan is the greatest ever, while Pogba is shite. Right.

Were you watching the same game mate? Rojo was our best player!

As if that was a stamp... Rojo was a couple of feet in midair had he put his weight on that leg Hazard would have been in absolute agony.

Sorry but I have to call bullsh1t on this! Rashford worked his socks off, he didn't miss he hit the target and the keeper made a good save.
Rojo also fought like a lion on a tough night against tough opponents.
Pogba ambled about the place as if he was playing in a friendly and didn't give a tuppenny.

I just knew that Pogba would be blamed if we lost. But seriously? We lost because of the ref, along with hazard's diving. It was Rojo and De Gea who should've done better for the goal but they would have score anyway once we were decimated. The deciding moment was when Rashford missed a golden chance to equalize. People need to stop placing unrealistic expectations on Pogba

I'm not blaming Pogba for the defeat. But I'm still waiting to see him put some sort of effort in games. Failed to close people down, and just let people pass the ball around him.

He just seems to disappear when we need him the most. Don't know if it's because he's knackered from playing all the time, but he's got to change his attitude in games.

When you're on a yellow, you don't stick your leg out.

    Stop defending the lazy cnut!

If I think I should defend Herrera I will do so since Hazard managed to convince the referee from the start of the match.

Nobody can defend Pogba after this performance.

And the reason to why he's scored more goals is because he's played almost every single minute of every match. Part Mourinho's fault for running him to the ground but Pogba should be doing better overall.

Says one who supports a team that gets all the help in the world from referees !

There is some nastiness in being run as a winning club, you had that before and need having it again or become a Roma (!). Mourinho is the right man at helm, though, this defeat will surely make his blood boil so it's a win in disguise, just get the nasty Mou out of the grumpy shell again.

    Na mate. Rojo was quality.

Anyone. You cannot be telling me you think hes playign well? He has not lived up to his billing so far. Far from

I do not think he has set the world alight. Can he improve? Yes. For sure. But the same can be said of almost any player. He is certainly not the completely shite League One player that some people seem to think he is. I don't agree with blaming him for every defeat.

Courtois' save was nothing compared to De Gea's multiple world class saves. Rashford made it easy for him. It was a great run but the end product (finishing) was poor. As a striker his job is to finish. He should have scored. Any player with the instinct of a striker would have scored.

So we blame Pogba for the defeat but Rashford gets zero blame despite missing a golden 1 v 1 chance to equalize?

It wasn't a 1v1 chance. Cahill had pressure on him, and the Keeper saved it. Pogba couldn't even get his chance on target.

Pogba is getting abuse because he isn't putting a shift in. I'm glad people are noticing his jogging. It's been happening for a while. Very little sprinting or intensity. Way too casual, and looks like a huge waste of money.

Yeah lets see when he has europe to deal with as well. Although apparently he is shit in europe so it might not make a difference

Really? Go say that to the Napoli and Milan supporters especially the last 2 weeks.

Pogba did make some good runs where he beat a few players.

Give him abuse if he is truly shit and makes mistakes that cost us games, sure. But to give him abuse because of his price tag is really absurd. It's not like Pogba dictated his transfer fee.

    Shitshow.

Smalling, surprised he remembers to breath sometimes he's so thick.... captain?! What a joke.

Rojo and Valencia, only two outfield players with any passion left on the pitch.

After Arsenal lost the first leg to Bayern, Roy Keane said this, “When Kieran Gibbs has the captain’s armband, you’re in trouble." The same can be said about Chris Smalling.

Blame the ref for that soft red, blame Herrera for being rush, a little blame on Rashford because it's one on one situation at a game like this, and finally blame Pogba for his attitude on the pitch and why he neve shows up in big crucial games.

And really dont know why the feck Smalling is our captain? I would easily picked Valencia or DDG.

I can accept the defeat, though I would like to know why Pogba saw fit to let Kante take a shot - he appeared to back off rather than attempt to block the ball.
