    Get your head out of your arse LvG and scrap this 352 bollocks, it's useless. What did LvG say yesterday about long balls? there's only one team out there hoofing the ball and thats us.
     
    At least we got through one half without losing player to injury. Still, we have literally zero confidence and Fletcher, Young are really struggling. Did think it was a penalty on Young though!
     
    Impressed with Blackett's passing range. Di Maria looked good. Think we just need a little luck and we'll do well.
    Evans hasn't been that bad. Young has been shit as per usual. Keen for Blind to play ahead of Fletcher.
     
    Things still too slow for me. The midfield is still a problem. The fullbacks are far too defensive. RvP is out of form. Mata continues to annoy me.

    This team needs confidence so badly. Just one piece of magic, one bit of luck. Something, anything, to get them through to the international break. I still believe.

    Fletcher and Evans are so woeful, it's not even funny anymore for anybody to see them as leaders.
     
    Di Maria has been the only bright spark, always looking for runners and could easily have had 2 assists. RVP shot and Mata slip.

    Center midfield non existent.

    Wing backs Young especially have been awful going forward and not much better defensively.

    Its all good playing 3 at the back if we have a decent deep lying playmaker. We haven't.

    System needs a change because the defence looks so vulnerable but to be honest we haven't anyone to come in and sure up CM.

    Fletcher, Young and Valencia need to be shown the door...they're just not good enough. Evans can do a job but not in this system. It just seems we'll never have a fully fit squad to choose from. Why the feck do we constantly have so many injuries?

    Now that cleverley is all but gone, we need a new hate figure. Evans is that man. Its alright, hes been there before.

    to see the positive - di maria looks really good and brings tempo to our game. the four of mata-rooney-rvp and di maria will flourish with the season going on imo. the problem is that we have noone on that can play the ball out of the back + defense is shaky. take young off and bring on januzaj. we just need a bit of luck to not concede and win this
     
    At the moment, I would prefer Hernandez up front with Rooney rather than RvP. The Rvp who got THAT goal afgainst Spain lookes hundres of miles from the guy on the park toeday. Agree with everyone who think time for FLetch to give up but then I have NEVER been a fan anyway. Young and Valencia will NEVER bee wing backs. Presumably one day soomn it wil be Shaw and Blind (and I hope with Humels in the centre, although Jones might have to do)
     
    It just beggars belief the football we're playing.

    Get Van Persie off and bring Welbeck on and we'll at least be a bit more fluid at that end of the pitch. There's no saving the defence though.

    Yep agree Mata doesn't have the greatest movement. But he needs runners in behind to stretch the defence. If we replaced one of the strikers with Welbeck I think we would see a massive difference Valencia and Young are playing too deep IMO.

    Before any type of runner in attack, our football would be better if our player would release the ball quicker but that would also involved better movement and understanding. Having Fletcher in midfield makes this impossible and Young/Valencia... Let's not even go there.
     
    Just play 433 even if we go down in flames it would be better than this excruciating slow deathmarch by 352.

    RVP gotta come out and put AD11 on the left.
     
    Mata off. Anderson on. Yes. Seriously. And Rooney off, Welbeck on. We need to keep Welbeck and use him.
     
    why are you again after young here? it is obvious that there are worse players. God help me not punch the monitor everytime RVP looses the ball. How the hell he can start over welbeck is beyond me.. Id rather play anderson than Mata in midfield also. he looks terrible there, also had two chances and messed it up.. di maria looks quality tho but needs someone to cover him in midfield. Fletcher cant play in the tempo of premier league anymore.. him and mata in midfield its just woeful..

    Why are we working so hard for so little in return. Its the same problem as before, Trying to accommodate both Rooney and RVP in the same team just doesn't work. I wish fergie was still here last year so he could have gotten rid of 1 of them, most likey Rooney. Its time to drop 1 of them and change the formation to get the best out of the players we got. Fletcher and Young are woeful. LVG stop being so stubborn, change the formation, 4-3-3 is better use of the pitch than this crap, you have already driven some of our quality players out, its time to do what's right and accept change

    Anyway, the 3-5-2 needs to go, it really does. It doesn't suit us at all. And I know it's flogging a dead horse at this stage but we really need to sort out our midfield.
     
    Definite penalty on Young. And yet BT sport focus on a non existent penalty incident for Burnley..
     
    Not once have our so called wingers got past the fullbacks and got across in, the crosses that do come are from deep positions, this is so unlike us.

    Yeah, playing next to some of the best CB's the club has ever seen isn't exactly the best way to judge someone. He's not very good as we've seen again today.
     
    Great point brought up by the US commentators. Because we are so problematic in midfield, due to Fletcher, Mata and Di Maria are having to come back leaving Rooney and RvP isolated.

    Herrera and Blind can't come soon enough.
     
    I know it was only pre-season but our quality of football and the way our players seemed so comfortable on ball is like night and day compared to this.

    Rojo isn't a top class signing and whose to say, he is another useless player like Evans in this formation? Shaw will take Young's place. Rafael WHEN FIT will take Valencia's? Carrick isn't getting any younger. Blind and Herrera are good addition to our non-existent midfield. Who's place will Januzaj take in this formation? Smalling isn't any better than Jones or Evans either.
     
    It's obvious the players still think they're playing for Moyes. When the Emperor was defeated in Return of the Jedi it didn't mean the Empire suddenly crumbled. It took time for the alliance to win back the galaxy and return it to it's original state.
