I'd expect that. But we should be beating teams like Burnley twice a season in the prem. It's an absolute minimum to get top 4 right now, let alone challenge for anything.

Like I said, I'm not even arguing for Maguire but Evans bottom was pretty bad. We also lost 1-6 to City at home in 2011 with Evans being diabolical and getting red carded. He had too many bad game s to count at the end of his OT career. In his final season he rated lowest among the fans by far, and he was once a crowd favorite who many thought would be a future leader and captain

I think Burnley tired a lot by that stage of the game.We desperately need midfield reinforcement, especially a CDM, but this draw and the Middlesbrough game was down to poor finishing again.
We started off well, breaking at pace, running at Burnley and physically dominating, but we just went back to the same static passing football and slow movement, we’ve been playing for a few seasons.This place is dominated by knee-jerkers who haven't a clue. Get off your entitled high-horses. FFS. We are improving, that's beyond doubt.
Performances are getting there, the results will come.
We should have won, we didn't, but we are getting better. All this season is, is setting a baseline for next season, like it or not, its how it is. Get on board and actually support your 'kin team.

Evans was also part of the defence that broke the record for clean sheets (I think most consecutive), his top was really good.

Jonny Evans was never ever ever rated as highly as you're making out.
So up there it is close to the moon. Crosses need to be lower and with zip. There is a reason we dont score from corners and a lot is down to delivery.
