Decent lineup. Eriksen doesn't have the legs for Brighton, better he comes on late to change the game if we need him. We need Fred and Casemiro packing the middle and Rashford and Antony coming in from wide.

If Wan Bissaka can perform like he did at Wembley we'll greatly improve our chances tonight.

With Fred in midfield we will be combative and have bite, while Martial and Antony up front give us a good base for our press, so we should be able to deal with Brighton defensively. Offensively it's more dicey as this lineup hasn't played often so are not likely to be in sync.

Without Eriksen, I suppose we’re going to hit a lot of long balls and bypass our midfield. I predict we’ll get about 35% possession in this game. We’ll scrap and defend as top priority and hit them on the break. Fred should be useful buzzing around and breaking up their rhythm.

Obvious, perhaps. An example of why horses for courses are useful in our squad at the moment.

These feckers play the kind of football that is our kryptonite. This will be a hairy one.

Fred in an away game? Was not expecting that. There are 2 Fred's, one we take to away games and stinks. The one at home is usually good. Now I am worried.

Fingers crossed we get good Fred and good AWB. If AWB can shut down Mitoma again that would be great.

If United snap and claw to win 2nd and 3rd balls (Fred, Casemiro, AWB, Bruno, Antony), with Martial and Bruno linking up to release Rashford and Antony against a back 3 with a late runner coming behind, United can have some opportunities but have to be much more clinical today.

    Brighton missing a few?

Injured are Veltman, Groß, Ferguson. Sarmiento, Moder, Lallana and Lamptey.

Three right backs out, and a bench full of kids with a handful of professional games between them at any level.

Caicedo set to play right back.

Some interesting changes for both sides. Brighton likely playing a different formation. Guessing we're aiming to play counter attack since ETH picked Fred over Eriksen. Will be a tough game but would just love to see a good performance away from home

    Keeper as well?

Ince saying Martial has his mojo back and is scoring goals for fun. Have I missed something?

Caicedo for 5m. Already turned down 75m from Arsenal.
Aye.. the way Brighton push the stats to discover these players is fascinating. Their recruitment is as good as ours is bad. And I fear all the vibes are that we straitjacketef in terms of progressing transfers in advance of the window because of the ownership uncertainty.

Getting nervous about this. They'll be really up for it with fans behind their back and our bad away record at good sides.

The problem with us signing these players is that they'd end up developing far slower because we wouldn't play them ahead of the established players.

It's easier for Brighton and importantly, it's better for the player and football.

Sky Sports has them as 3-4-1-2

    Steele
    Webster Dunk Estupinan
    Enciso Gilmour Caicedo Mitoma
    Mac Allister
    Buonanotte Welbeck
I thought they used a 4-2-3-1 formation which has served them quite well this season. League double over Chelsea and Liverpool. Drawing with us in the FA Cup. Sticking 6 past Wolves. 4 past Everton and West Ham. I could very well be wrong though.
