What happened to Ole saying he was going to play some youngsters in this competition??
James, Williams and Dalot are still youngsters and very inexperienced.

Plus, all the players need match fitness, we had no pre-season. I actually hope Pogba comes in for VDB at some point, so the Dutchman can also start against Spurs. Need Pogba to get sharper, he's getting focused a lot as usual and needs to be protected by Ole.

Martial should have been on the bench, we need him to score and get him back in the scoring touch. I don't know why its always Martial that gets left out in this sort of games for whatever reason.

Terrible team really. Why not giving minutes to Martial or Greenwood.
Ole giving up the cup already?
I like the midfield, but not the rest.
    Martial and greenwood?

We are already super light in attack with a game on Sunday against a big rival. Last thing we wanna do is play our best players.

Youngsters will play once the main squad has had enough game time to be fit.

The way some of our fans go on about young players, you’d think United is a youth footballing charity for Youth to get playing time.

The starting lineup is a joke

We are not going to win the league or CL. This is our chance to win a trophy.

Everything is a joke in this place. Play a strong team week in week out and get complaints that the team is run into the ground. Give some squad players some games and complaints not the strongest line up.

    Lord give me strength!

    Mata with the armband surely.

Theres some half decent technical ability in that midfield with Fred, VDB and Mata.

Clear we dont care too much about losing with that bench either. Not many options.

They need games too and we need to win this. I guess Greenwood will not play international football anyway.
Martial might sadly, but still fancy Giroud to play over him.

He showed quality before his injury. We need to give him a chance in games like this.
I’ve given him 3 years... He works hard & seems like a leader. He’ll make a great captain for Preston North End one day.

Im sorry for being so blunt, but if you’re a central midfielder for Manchester United you need to be able to control the ball & pass. Working hard & showing character is not enough. My mate Rob is a hard worker & I can vouch for his character, but I don’t want him starting for United either.

But we still want to finish top 4, no?

Yes, but we have enough rest for sunday I think. Spurs got much less rest anyway so we should be in advantage.
I am not saying playing all your first 11, but rest only a few like the midfield and 1-2 defenders.
Hopefully this team is enough to win. Just not seeing us being strong on the counter with James, Ighalo and Mata.

People not caring about Carabao cup as if we have the league and CL in the bag.

You guys realize we're 3 seasons in a row trophyless right ? Stop being arrogant about these trophies, Ok ?

We only have this one and Fa Cup as a potential trophies this season. Having a 4th trophyless season in a row will be a disaster.

Or we have just completed our transform into fully Arsenal, sacrificing everything for 4th spot ?

Good lineup till you get to the front four. A lot for Donny to glue together against a well drilled brighton

Lindelof out there (okay Maguire needs to rest) but B Williams on the left again:(

Much depends on the fitness levels of individual players. I don't think we have enough info to pass judgement.
Btw brighton won't play full team either.
