Maguire needs a rest and I'd love to see Smalling get some minutes at last whether he moves or not.

    What I want to see?

    ------------------Henderson
    TFM----Bailly----Smalling---Williams
    --------------Mctominay--Fred-------------
    Greenwood-----VDB-----------James-
    --------------------Igalho------------------------

    What we will actually see?

    ------------------Henderson
    TFM----Bailly----Maguire---Shaw
    -------Mctominay--Fred---------------
    Mata--------Pogba---------Rashford
    --------------------Martial------------------

    Henderson
    TFM Bailly Maguire Williams
    Fred McTominay
    Mata VDB James
    Martial

Maguire to lead the back line (and he has to play every minute of every game)
    VDB to get minutes
    James on his preferred left
Martial to find his shooting boots again

We wont do it, but I would happily throw a team full of kids on. We need out of this competition as soon as possible.

    Is this on TV?

Edit: Found out it's on Sky Sports. Weird, it doesn't say so on the United website for some reason.

This will probably be a bore-fest after the weekends excitement. Would like to rest Harry for this one, insane that he plays every minute of pretty much all matches.
Get James on the left wing and put others in the shop window. Rest the key players - with maybe exception of Pogba and AWB who look like they need minutes.

Can't wait to see the caf reaction if true

Some of the first teamers (Pogba, Martial, etc) need to find form or fitness so I'd play some even if for 75 minutes.

Be interesting to see if James features. If hes not featured all in this fixture (as he wasn’t on the weekend) then he’s off surely?

Probably wont happen, but i'd like to see Ole go with a 343. Not only will it match up with Brighton, but hopefully it'll solidify us a bit more. We looked really vulnerable in the wide areas the other day. Brightons wing backs were constantly in space, due to our full backs marking the inside forwards. With 3 at the back, we can go man to man with them, but also carry our attacking threat.

I dont think Ole will go with this, but I'd probably go with:

    Lingard Ighalo Mata
Williams McTominay Van De Beek James
    Fosu-Mensah Maguire Bailly
    Henderson

Let’s hope Ole has learnt from last week. Could do with Martial and Rashford getting a few more minutes and finding some sharpness.

I don't see us playing any different to what we did at the weekend. If we do, I for one will be pleasantly surprised. I hope Ole picks a good team because Luton Town game was horrendous to watch. Brighton game was no fun either. Let's see where it all goes from here on. I hope we get in at least 3 players to add squad depth. I have virtually given up on the Sancho deal but I hope we bring in Sarr at least because we still have time what with the domestic window ending on 16th of October. Telles and Jovic deal should be done as quickly as possible and maybe try and get a CB as well. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. I still have a small attachment with SANCHO to UNITED. I'd be over the moon if it came through, although I'm tired with that particular negotiation just like the rest of them. United transfers are tedious and mind numbingly painful.

Pogba should certainly feature and then sit out of the next PL game. So hopefully we won't see Fred today. Same with AWB (i.e. start the match to build match fitness).

Would like to see Bailley and Maguire partnership along with Henderson . Maybe that would be much more solid than our first choice partnership.

I also feel Martial should start to get his form back.. he is just a little bit off pace and a goal or two will boost his confidence.

Dalot starting is surprising, thought he was done here

This lineup will struggle tonight but at least main players get some rest.

Man Utd Team - Henderson, dalot, baily, lindelof, williams, mctominay, fred, mata, VDB, James and Ighalo

When I see mctominay I know we’ll create nothing. A central midfielder who can’t control or pass a ball hahaha. Absolute banter player

James & Williams too... We’re in for a long night lads

No Maguire you are shitting me. He needs a rest though, considering he played in World Cup 2018 and practically every PL match since then, he hasn’t had one in a couple of years.

    Brighton line up vs United
Starting XI: Steele, White, Dunk, Mac Allister, Gross, Jahanbakhsh, Bernardo, Burn, Veltman, Gyokeres, Molumby
Subs: Sanchez, Maupay, Trossard, Sanders, Cochrane, Roberts, Jenks

Bailly is going to have to cover Dalot's ass this entire game. Not entirely confident with Lindelof-Williams either. All in all though, probably the best lineup we could field.
